It's really unlikely. They seem to either book the 27-30 of Month A or the 1-5 of Month B, then again between the 11th and 17th of Month B. They did the 27th of March, so the next booking should be LIKELY around the 13th through 15th of April.

Thanks for breaking it down for us.:wub:

NVC told me that they dont schedule that way anymore. They told they they have people that do it all the time now. So they must be lieing lol

Confused about interview scheduling. Reading in here NVC schedules only a couple weeks out of the month correct? NVC representative I just called said they have people that do that scheduling everyday throughout the month now. There is no break of days from it.

Well, it's possible that coincidentally all of the VJ people through the Montréal consulate who have participated in the spread sheet have always had their interviews assigned in 2 clusters of 1-3 days, I suppose, in spite of getting case complete at varying times of the month. It just seems very unlikely... I'm not saying NVC is lying... but their claim, at least as far as it may or may not apply to the Montréal consulate, is dubious.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

Yay I'm here. :dancing: CC yesterday 4/1/2015 , just awaiting interview date at Johannesburg embassy.

Congrats on your CC. We have the same CC date and the same embassy! Hopefully we'll be scheduled for the interview soon! I don't see a lot of people from SA on Visajourney so maybe we'll have an early interview date as well.

We're practically twins!! I sure do hope so but not really sure what to expect bc like you said, not a lot of data for SA embassy. I'm the US citizen and my husband is the SA citizen. He is coming to visit me next week.....so he can get all the original paperwork (don't trust the mail haha). Finally feeling like were seeing the light at the end of the tunnel but after being apart this long I'd rather wait the last bit out together.

Good luck to you! Will make sure I keep the thread updated with any news.

I'm the US citizen and my husband is the SA citizen as well! Ah yeah I forgot to bring the original marriage certificate with me when I visited him in February so now I have to mail it which I'm nervous about seeing as only half the stuff I've mailed has reached the final destination haha. I know what you mean. It's so close but I don't think I'll let myself get too excited until he has his visa in hand. Such a roller coaster ride with USCIS, NVC and also the SA Home Affairs haha. Good luck to you too!

I had a question about the I-864 form. Is it necessary to fill the form again if I am taking 2014 tax returns. My attorney said that there is no need to do the form again with the new tax returns. I wanted to know if that is correct. I appreciate the help.
