Hi there,

My husband received notice that we got approval today for our i-130 application. I'm assuming that our stuff is now being sent to the NVC where we then wait to get notice?

I am curious about the affidavit of support part. My husband collects Workmans Compensation as well as Disability benefits from being in a workplace accident. I'm worried they won't accept this, or what the process is for him to submit or attach for proof of support. He makes enough with those two benefits. Any help or experience from anyone who's done this?

About how long does the process take now once the NVC has received everything till the time I will be able to move down to be with him?

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advanced.

Congratulations on your NOA2.

We just got our NVC case number and invoice number today, which took about two weeks from the time NVC was sent our papers from USCIS.

If you haven't already, now is the time to start collecting all the financial and supporting documents and filling out the AOS. If your husband meets the federal minimum income level with his benefits, then that will be enough for the AOS. Does he still do a tax return each year? Cause if so, then a IRS transcript will be enough as proof of income. If not, does he have letters or checks to show that he receives this compensation?

Hi there,

He doesn't do tax returns for these benefits but he can get letters and statements showing proof of benefits paid out weekly and monthly. This will be enough?
