hello friends

i just get my case number and the invoice number

and sign to form ds-261 to pay fees

but which one i should pay first

my husband is the Petitioner and the sponsor for me too

we don't have any a kids or any one else in this case

so what i will pay first

Affidavit of Support (AOS) Fees 120 $

or

IV Application Processing Fees 325 $

The Aos fee will be the first fee you will be able to pay

You pay the AOS first. Then you have to wait for them to review your 261 to open up your IV fee.

Send the AOS/IV package as soon as you get your receipt from the AOS...do not wait to pay the IV fee.

you can wait and pay both fees at once, but you are waiting extra time .As another member mention the AOS fee will show up first and the DS-261 choice of agent form. When the AOS fees shows paid you can send in your AOS and IV documents using the AOS document cover sheet for both packets . The NVC is stating it takes up to 60 days to review documents. While you are waiting for them to review the documents. The NVC will also be reviewing your DS-261 form to add to your case ( you can call them on the phone to have them do that) Once that is done you can pay the IV fee then fill out the DS-260 application fee

The important thing is to get your documents to the NVC as soon as you can.

if both are viewable 'to be paid' then it's most likely the I-130 had a G-28 attached to it.

otherwise, pay the fee that you can. without a G-28 in place with the I-130, the IV Fee bill is payable after the DS-261 is added to the casefile at NVC.

USUALLY, a DS-261 is not used, if a G-28 was filed with the I-130.

so - what do you see, really, in CEAC?

If the fee shows paid then log onto where you paid the fees at the bottom you can print the document cover sheet. You need one for each packet. It does not matter which cover sheet you use for each packets. You can use the AOS and the IV cover sheet for each packet, or the AOS coversheet for each packets or just the IV cover sheet with each packets. I use the AOS cover sheet for both my packets , I included one with each packet

Put the packets in separate manila envelopes with the Document cover sheets and the NVC document checklist , then place both inside a shipping envelope Mail to the address on the barcode cover sheet
