Hi everyone, i really need some help me and my husband doing petition I-130 we collect some documents, then today my husband talk to attorney they are to expensive plus they advise my husband to revisit again here. My question it is really needed to revisit my husband ? We are 3 years married he visit me twice. What the best thing to do hire the attorney or do it yourself ? What is the harder part of procissing?

if your case is not complicated with legal issues it is better to do it yourself save the lawyers fees

the requirement is that you have met at least once in person within two years before you apply

The hardest part is waiting to know something from USCIS or NVC

I know they are married I just automatic wrote that, as they say their lawyer say they need to visit again and some reason I was thinking k-1 visa. The lawyer is wrong maybe it has been a while since they saw each other .In some countries that will be a problem not so much with the Philippines. I only visit my wife twice

how long ago ? It should not be problem .I only visit my wife twice. I just got my case completed at NVC. one visit was before we got married about 2 weeks the second time was to get married about one month

I do not think that you need to visit again. I do not know why the lawyer will tell you that .June 2013 is not that long ago, save the money from the lawyers fees follow the advice on this site and you will be able to do this process

another thing is I think the USCIS is still expediting petition from the Philippines so you could have a fast approval

The next steps will be the NVC if you need help along the way just message me as my wife is from the Philippines and we just got case complete at NVC we are waiting for interview letter

Yeah that is also my point. But my husband said attorney told him there 2 hardest part only attorney can do. What it is? Is that papers or documents from NVC? I have head aches now ?? we dont know what to do.

It sounds like your lawyer just want to get your husband money look at my timeline it can be done without lawyer unless you have some kind of complicated problem such as criminal I sent my petition in October my case is approve now at nvc I am just waiting on interview for my wife

There is nothing only a lawyer can only do. They can only send in the info that is giving to them they can not speed up the process

Your husband being a truck driver is ok as long as he makes enough to support you

It might be a littler harder for you to adjust with him gone a lot
