Hey everyone,

I just mailed in my AOS, copy of my wife’s birth certificate, copy of marriage certificate, copy of passport, and police clearance certificate from India. Somewhere I read that it takes NVC 60 days to process all of this!!! Is this true? Can anyone who recently sent this stuff in conform this?

Additionally, what is my next step and how long does that process take?

Hello, yes NVC takes 60days( sometime around 55 days) to process the documentation maybe a few additional days ( 60+ a few more days ) as there have been delays lately. Once the process is complete you will receive a case complete from NVC and an interview letter will follows( within 14 days) notifying you of the interview( 1to 2 months) later OR If you get check listed for any document you will have to submit it and wait an additional 60days till you receive a case complete.

Actually the nvc is taking a lot less then 60 days right now to review documents you can look at some of the spread sheets a couple of members have created and see that nvc is completing cases in 40 days or less after they recieve the documents for a lot of cases

will it stay that way i do not know.The nvc could slow down again and take 60 days to review documents

i think it may vary by country but my attorney informed me of sending payments and docs requested by NVC at the end of january and my approval date just caME THROUGH on March 17, 2015!!! and they had also told me 60 days.... hope this helps (Content removed - VJ Moderation)

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
