Great analogy. Timely and efficient manner? I still haven't got my head around that one! If that is true, I would hate to see what would happen if they said in an untimely and inefficient manner. No I can't even think about that one, it is what nightmares are made off!

Thank God they're not that honest with themselves! :P Untimely and inefficient should be their company motto!

It's disheartening, but it really won't. The customer service agents, while very nice, have no clue what they are talking about.

Oh wow, how awful! Have you received anything saying at least where your case it??? Like a SR or RFE??? I do think the there is one other on here that has a filing date on March 8th 2014, I believe.

I was told 2 weeks ago my file was in Atlanta ( my local field office) by a tier 2, they said it had been there since February some time and I put in a SR 2 weeks ago that they say they have replied to but I'm still waiting lol. Mid June we have been married 2 years so I'm wondering if they are waiting for that to give me a 10year GC lol

got email today for my inquiry about my out of processing time case after NPIW letter and they still anticipate a delay on the case :) this is funny guys! what I've learned though, we can see the processing time for NPIW letter in this thread and not on USCIS timeline.

"Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing."

As we're talking about expedite requests this morning I thought I'd share my experience too.

Back in the UK I was a cop. When I emigrated I presumed that my career as a cop was over. This was because I believed that you have to be a US citizen to be a cop over here and by the time I got citizenship I'd be either too old or too out of practice.

On February 1 I discovered that four states will let LPR's become cops and that my state, Ohio, is one of those states. I then found that there were vacancies not too far from where we live. If I were to be successful getting one of those jobs the increase in my pay would have been phenomenal.

So I rang USCIS and explained the situation to a very helpful, yes helpful, Tier 1 officer who raised an expedite request on my behalf ... that was on February 2. On February 4 my expedite request went to 'assigned', to 'we sent a response, to 'completed'. A few days later I received a letter asking for additional information to support my request. The letter said I should receive a decision with 5 days of sending in the evidence. So I gathered all of the information together and returned it on the same day and then went on vacation for a week.

By the time i got back from vacation [steady yourselves, I've got a shocker coming here] I hadn't heard a thing. So I rang the mis-information line back and was told I needed to wait 30 days. I told the agent the letter said 5 days for the decision and after a polite argument I got put through to Tier 2. All they could tell me was that my case was still at the NBC and that the expedite request had not been turned down or approved.

Skip forward to March 10 when I managed to raise a service request to enquire on the status of the expedite. It sat unassigned until the 18th, was assigned and unassigned on the same day. As of now, I've had no communication from USCIS on either the expedite or the SR.

And that's where I am today. I can't bare calling the mis-information line to check up on it. I've thought about an infopass but it's a 90 minute drive and I'm not sure I can be bothered to drive all that was to be told BS.

I'm sorry I didn't share this with you guys earlier but I didn't want you to think I was trying to jump the queue. I thought my reasons for expedite were fair. Maybe they were urgent, but not urgent enough.

USCIS really know how to wear you down.

I hear you brother, it sucks. To protect and to serve, but only when we tell you you can...Your friends, USCIS

Isn't it! I look as financial aid as financial gain, not a loss!

Welcome to the thread!

I am not sure if Ford Smith Field is your local office, but it wouldn't matter any way as most of our files go to a field office that aren't overloaded with cases, so you could find your file in California, Florida, Pennsylvania, or any where in the USA!

Even Imperial CA...

Hi guys, another day closer and I hope that's soon...

I didn't get an alien this time but a very nice, but clueless Tier 2 officer. He has 'upgraded' my expedite request asking for a definitive (chuckles) update on my case. I asked him the million dollar question 'Where is my case?'. He said the expedite evidence request letter came from Cincinnati so my case must be there. FAIL!

I explained how the NPIW process works and asked which office again - same answer. I asked if he had any other computer screens that showed transfers or case location history. He said there were other screens but he doesn't use them very often and that I should go by the last three digits of the SR number. FAIL!

A very pleasant Tier 2 officer. It's a shame he was talking BS.

I now have a new expedite request / service request starting WKDxxxxxxxxxxxxxCIN but I'm none the wiser. I suppose there's a slim chance I might get a reply to this one telling me to wait.

What an utter waste of my day. I'm off to Kroger.

Sigh.

Clueless...We could teach them better....Sorry man,,,

It is this simple, they are told by the authorities that are, to put AOS on a back burner, unless it's a "red flag" one! They are overworked, probably underpaid and have such a vast work load and they just read from a script or try to fob us off. It's all about a political agenda I think! I guess because we are now with our loved ones, that we are OK Jack.

What they fail to realise are the implications of this for us, for example you having to wait hours for your wife to get through border control, for Nlhernan's wife and I to be separated from our ONLY children and because they are now older than 21 having to wait for 7 years to sponsor them so we can be "proper" family units. I don't and never will understand why firstly my only child isn't my immediate relative or why it takes 7 years, nor do they take into account that Derwood was a policeman for 20 years and would like to do the same thing here.

I hate to say this but I think there is another visa starting on April 1st which will probably put AOS even further on the back burner! Doesn't matter we have paid thousands for this nor does it matter that people like Derwood and my son and Nlhernan's wife's son will contribute to the economy, it is what is current to the political climate at any one time! :(

Amen sister Shell....they don't 2 shakes of a rat's derriere...

I work in customer service and if I provided "service" consisting of wrong information or no information at all I would soon be sacked, and so would the higher up's for not putting in an effective customer care system.

I don't blame the reps - their access to information appears non-existent. I have however given up on calling them.

I am waiting for a reply to a service request due April 1. If by the end of the week I do not get a response I am making an infopass appointment. If that does not get things progressed I will have done service requests, congressman, and infopass donr.

And then it's the Ombudsman. *sigh*

Incidentally I will have to file renewal for EAD On April 10.

Shell, unfortunately my wife is petrified of AP. She was turned around once when she was coming here to visit me and was sent back home (long story) and she was not able to even come to this country up until she got her K1. In either case for her traveling with AP is not an option. She is traumatized by the border patrol. So the only way she would agree to leave the country is with a green card...

Sorry to hear she went through that! I understand why she would want the GC, hope you get it shortly!!

I was told 2 weeks ago my file was in Atlanta ( my local field office) by a tier 2, they said it had been there since February some time and I put in a SR 2 weeks ago that they say they have replied to but I'm still waiting lol. Nlhernan's was in California for a few weeks, at first they told him he was at NY, that was back in Feb and he got his on Friday, so fingers crossed that you hear this week!
