I'm experiencing the same problem. Heading on three weeks waiting. In the mean time I am getting everything ready, but I really just want to pay already and get this process going.

Finally called NVC and I talked with an agent, the only thing that she told me,

aside from check all personal information, is that I have to wait up to the 42 days,

so to all of you that are on the same situation, patience and more patience,

we can't do anything more that wait.

I will update when i receive any letter about this

P.D: About sending the documents, i've already sent all of them, the AOS and the IV,

and i received the answer from NVC that they will say something about in at least 60 days,

so for all of you that you are on this situation and you are doubting for send it or not, do it!

Don't waste more time!

the nvc will tell you it takes up to 42 days for the DS261 to be review. but I will not wait the 42 days. you just have to keep calling every so often until you get an agent on the phone that will review it for you. Some agents won't do it, I do not know if is because they can not or they just really do not want too. It took about 3 weeks and about 4 agents before I got one that was willing to review my ds-261 over the phone for me

I thought you had to pay the IV bill and submit the DS 260 before you could send the AOS and IV Package. Can I send them now, without the IV receipt? I paid the AOS Bill on Feb. 26th.

yes you can send both packets in, before you pay the IV fee and fill out the DS-26 form. You can use the AOS document cover sheet for both packet just print two of them from the payment portal. also include the NVC document check list. If you look at my signature or timeline you will see that is how I did it. My case was completed. I save a lot of time doing it this way Edited by j&ana

Wow, you've been so lucky, you paid your IV fee Bill on Feb, 6th and you get your CC on Feb, 20th!

Seeing this makes me be more relaxed, i hope that my case be just as fast as yours.

This morning I talked to a very nice lady at the NVC who was able to review my 261 over the phone. She said that since she had been there a long time she knew how to do it but the new people did not. They have had several 261 get "stuck" in the computer. So it is so depressing to here that they can do nothing for you when you call and wait, but there are people there that can help. It is really just luck of the draw.

Yes that is why a person needs to call until they get an agent that will review the DS-260 over the phone

yes but it is the waiting time for the review of your documents that counts. The NVC states it takes 60 days from receiving the documents that is the scan date that is the important date. My was Feb 10th. Right now they are reviewing a lot of cases in about 40 days.

If you have not send in your Aos and IV packets and your AOS fee shows paid you can submit both packets, using the AOS document cover sheet. You will have time to pay the IV fee and fill out the DS260 while you are waiting for them to review your documents
