Green Card Approval Times & a Question About Income Requirement

HI all!

We got a receipt on February 5th saying they'd received our AOS paperwork. Though we recently received my husband's EAD and AP, there's been no word on the actual GC. Does anyone know how long they're taking to process these days? We haven't even heard from them if they've transferred it to another service center; as far as we know, it's still at the National Benefits Center. We signed up for text and email updates, as well as an account on the USCIS website.

Also, it appears that the poverty guidelines haven't changed, right? Even with the 2015 edition release? http://www.uscis.gov/i-864p

Thank you all so much!

Great question. We filed Dec 5th and got the EAD/AP mid-February so you are ahead of us timeline wise.

No entry in the USCIS case status database with the I-485 number, so not sure either.

Anyone has any idea?

Right??!! I check it every day, just in case they didn't send a text/email. Nothing, nothing, nothing. VJ doesn't have a GC timeline tracker, right?

Never seen any. In NYC where a friend of ours went for an interview, he came on a K1 from Jamaica and got his interview in January, and his GC was mailed to him in early March. Sounds like four months from entry in the US on a K1...thats all I know

My wife's timeline is listed below. Approximately 5 months from 485 filing to the interview and GC approval. Haven't received the GC yet, but will update when it shows up. After the NBC, it will be transferred to a field office, ours went to Detroit. I was pretty much expecting a longer wait, so we were happy, but it may depend on the field office workload.

Good Luck!
