K1 Visa- After NOA 2- Are there any other documents to be sent to NVC??

Hi everyone,

I am trying to get ready for the next step, while I am still waiting for NO2-- I feel I am getting close. Are there any documents to be sent to the NVC? D-160- do I send it to the NVC or to the embassy during the interview. Please help.. I am confused a lot with the NVC stage. Thanks

You don't send anything to NVC... they just give you a case number and send your file to the embassy. The DS-160 and the rest of the documents are for your interview at the embassy.

Just want to say that some countries are different and some require documents to be sent to the NVC.

Every country is different and what might be a way for you is not the same for others.

OP- this is all I could find so far.

Does not look like Albania requires document submissions, follow the requirements to bring to the interview here.

The K-1 is a little weird. In some ways it is like an immigrant visa, in some ways it is not. You will need all those documents probably, but to give to the embassy itself, not NVC. The link you posted above is for other immigrant visas.

Thank you. Besides Case Number, what else do I receive from the NVC? Is there any form that they send to me?

Nope, all NVC does for K-1 visas is issue a case # and send it off to the embassy.

That might be true...but I didn't see any discussions on it in the 18 months I've been on VJ site.

Do you know a specific country where something needs to be sent to NVC or you are just making some (safe) assumption?

I've been on VJ site 18 months, and I've not read anyone having to do that for K1 visa so far,

but you can seek confirmation from those processing through Albania.

Typically, once I-129f is approved, it will make a short stop (few days to couple of weeks) at NVC,

and then move on to local consulate, and the beneficiary will complete the processing

with local consulate.
