Hi VJ folks,

I have my AOS interview coming up soon. Wife and I plan to carry originals + copies of all documents they list on the interview appointment letter. + more proofs of marriage via photos etc. Any tips for the interview and if you have any questions to share from your own experience?

Thank you for the help, as always!

My AOS was 2 yrs ago. 20-30 min. at the beginning a lot of yes/no questions from form, later on IO asked how we met, where, when, to show pix and asked who were people from pix, where was that, then asked for statements to show how we pay our bills. notihng big (saying now its easy, that time we were freaking out)

good luck!

Thanks mimolicious and spring333. I heard some people were asked questions like "what's your spouse's favorite movie". Those are the kind I am scared of because my wife and I don't really have ONE favorite in many things, haha.

Did you carry copies of all forms (693, 864, 485 etc.) submitted at the time of AOS application? From what I understand, that's not needed but just want to make sure...

Hey guys - just wanted to update here. My interview went well today and we got approved verbally on the spot! Waiting for official confirmation via case status update. The IO was very nice and friendly. The interview lasted only about 10-15mins. Thanks for all your tips!

Is not being given one a bad sign? Do approved cases almost always get one?

He seemed very positive throughout and didn't seem to have a doubt about anything. We had many more proofs of marriage but he just took a few and said those are sufficient.
