I am so happy for you. You have been the model of patience here on this board. No one deserves the happiness more than you. :)

When they arrive in 13 days, it will be just in time to call NVC. Then you can put Tim to work while he is here and have him gather all of the needed documents for his interview! Put that boy to work!!

Daisy's parents are very happy she found a man that makes her happy and loves her completely. They are sad to see Daisy and her daughter leave the Phils, but they thank me every time I see them or when they are in Manila visiting for loving Daisy and Jessica. I tell them that I couldn't have done it if they hadn't raised such a wonderful woman.

Oh God, you guys, the tears are already starting to flow on Issam's family's part. This is going to be really hard on them and I feel so bad!!! Aaaacckk!! It's awful because I'm so happy and excited and they're all sad and weepy. We aren't even leaving until Tuesday and there's that big party we're having on Sunday. Any advice??? I feel terrible!!!

I think the big thing for them to know is how much you love their son. We also make sure that Tim talks to his parents once a week on Skype when he is over here. They feel like they are a part of our life in America and have been a part of this journey. We also got his mom on Facebook so that they can see what we are doing and how much he loves being here. The worst part for us is being away from Tim's son. But we have been doing this for 3 years now with all of us in separate countries and I believe that his son probably handles it the best of everyone.

Wow...Small World is right!

Born in Myrtle Point. Lived in Powers, Drain, John Day, Canyon City, Eugene, Medford and Corvallis. 25 Years in Franklin. Love it here. Never go back, Nashville is a great city a lot like Portland. Williamson County is beautiful with the history and rolling hills.

The hardest part is over. Waiting for us at TSC is tough. I am lucky my "ba xa" is with me to help pass the day until we get NOA2 and she goes back for interview. Hopefully in next 100 days.

Good Luck Sunya

how formal should you be dressed for the interview? as in will wearing a nice dress be sufficient, or should be more businesslike? pencil skirt and blouse

I have read elsewhere that it should be treated like a job interview. I'll go out on a limb and say that a tank top, short shorts and flip flops may not go over well.

I was a manger in an insurance agency for about 10 years. I did hundreds of interviews. The company did not have causal Fridays and we did allow casual dress on Saturdays. I always felt that you could never overdress for an interview and for a man, a suit and tie showed me you were serious. For the women, a nice dress, just below the knees and heels no higher than 3" was professional. Any woman that dressed provocatively in any way was not considered. (Heels too high, low cut blouse, skirt too high, etc.)

Dress to impress and you will never go wrong. :)
