Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 23, 2015
Embassy Review : Fiance arrived at 5am and was 10th in line outside of the US Embassy. He got in at around 7am ( appointment was 730am)
He said he had to go through 5 steps.
1. Submit Doc
2. Filipina Officer Interview (<5 min)
3. Oath Taking (<5min)
4. Consul Officer Interview (<5min)
5. A window to set up delivery of Visa and Passport to home residence)

He was not asked to submit any of the papers I sent him. Affidavit of Support, W2, 1040, Bank Statement, proof of Home ownership, Life Insurance, Proof of Genuine relationship. He said he was just asked appointment letter and DS 160, and his docs from Philippines.

Interview Questions.
What is the address you are going to in the US?
What profession does your Fiance hold?
So you were living in together for some years?
Do you have any pictures with you? ( He had pictures with him.. may about 50 pieces neatly labeled and filed) The CO looked at each. Asked few questions.
Do you know the number to call in the US in case your Fiance doesn't treat you nice?
Consul ended..... ok Mr.... Your visa has been approved.

He got out happy at 12noon!
He called me when he reached the hotel he was checked in across the US Embassy and told me the good news and said he was already very hungry!
Thank you VJ and to the people from March 2015 K1 Filer forum! You helped me a lot!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
