I think our packet should be showing ready this week in Kiev.

Do you think it would be safe to go ahead and book a flight for July 7th, with hope that he can choose the 9th or 10th for his interview?

i wouldn't book any flight before i'd have the visa in hand...after it shows ready u gotta wait for package 3 ..after u got this u have to cather it all put it together (have to filled out the ds-160 before & print this side) then u gotta schedule a interview app. and do medical before.

thats what I'd do ..i've the case ready ..but did not receive packet 3 yet

I'm not talking about booking a flight to leave before the visa's issued. I'm talking about taking a gamble that he will be able to schedule his interview for one of those dates and go ahead and book my flight to him to attend the interview.

I'm thinking if Kiev will be ready this week, then he should be able to book his interview easily by the 9th or 10th of July.

it would be best to book a flight once the interview schedule has been set though. goodluck! :)

Yay! Just received an email saying our case was approved, Omg noa2!!! Gosh! My heart beats so hard while I'm opening the msg, I'm worried and nervous that it might be another rfe haha.. thank God its not :) I suddenly feel very energized and full of eagerness to tackle our next step of this journey. Bte good luck to everyone who has upcoming interview :)

Sitting here at the cafe across from the consulate in Casablanca waiting to go pick up Issam's passport. Just for the record, cafe americana is as far from an American cafe as you can possibly imaginehahaha Blech!!!!!!

I woke up this morning also to good news. I received an email from Kiev consulate saying that they are ready to start processing our application. I forwarded it to my fiance, and then checked the CEAC site and it also shows Ready. :D

I think will be safe to book the flight for July 7th because worst that could happen is he has to schedule the interview for a few days later than I arrive. Only reason I wish to book now is there is a flight with shorter lay overs available now, and using miles I don't get much choice.
