We had misfortune that my husband was laid off from his work 2 weeks after I came. His taxes for last three years show that he made well above poverty guidelines, but we had to tell them that he is not employed at the moment. He is doing freelancing, but there is no way we can prove how much he earns, so we tried to use assets. Hope we will not get RFE. Can you try the same thing?

I'm sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, as we both just graduated, we don't have anything in the way of assets but he IS earning well over the poverty line now which is so frustrating. We will be using his mom as a co-sponsor (we are very fortunate that she is willing to do this).

I had biometrics today. Everything was fine other than my left ring finger. It kept saying "reject" on the screen.ugh! The lady tried again and again but she just gave up eventually without any word. So I got worried and asked if I will be okay with my rejected finger, she said fbi blah blah( I don't remember what she said!!!) and sounded like this is not a big deal. And I am good to leave the office so I left.

But I am super scared now!!! I wonder if someone had a same experience ...

(Oh! But it said "pass" when they took my four fingers' fingerprints at once. )

The worst thing that can happen is that they might call you back for a second fingerprint appointment or do an FBI name check... A bunch of people on this forum have had this problem before... fingerprints "rejected". I know it is hard but try not to worry until you don't know anything for sure.

Here is a few threads that I found about it:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/540485-biometrics-fingerprints-rejected/

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/182441-fingerprint-problems/

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/502660-biometric-processing-issues/

Hope this helps. Good luck! :)

Huh ... interesting. The scanner rejected several of my fingers. Maybe I'm part alien, I dunno.

I got a bit freaked out the first time but the guy shook it off and said he can override the reject and make the machine accept the print.

You are SO lucky! :) I had biometrics done on March 31st and my status has not changed. Most of us K1 AOSers will probably get an Interview Waiver Letter eventually anyway and have to wait 10+ months from filing to have our greencard mailed. I would like to have an interview too and get it all done within a few months! :) Good luck to you!

I am adjusting K1 with a K2 derivative..my USC husband and I has a biological child..now 11years old..he was granted his U.S. Citizenship thru CRBA while we are in the process for our visas,it was until our interview with the embassy that the CO told me that he was qualified for US citizenship and will not undergo the visa approval process since USCIS do not issue visas to USC ..we went thru a 3-way DNA too..to prove everything since it was kinda' late claiming my sons citizenship by consular birth abroad..it took us almost 4months in the waiting...after all the long process of getting our visas before,I pray now that everything will be much easier as we have gone thru so much expenses just to surpass everything..at least now he had a blue passport as his dad, that's why we were less burdened by the AOS fees...only me and my K2 are adjusting status...hope to have the schedule soon..and if ever I'll go first on the interview here with others, I will share soon my experience and how it goes...Good luck too and thank you for being active and supportive in this thread...

I am starting to really worry (see timeline below) we have not received biometrics appointment.

We are only filing i485 (husband has work permit thru TPS, and i130 already approved in 2010)

03/04/2015 - Sent AOS (i485)

03/06/2015 - Package Received

03/09/2015 - First NOA

I see that most of the March members have already received biometrics appointments, what do you recommend?
