Do I need Visa to Canada?and where to renew Indian passport in Houston ,Texas?

Hi all Vj friends, I have 10 years Green card do i Need Visa to visit Canada?

another question is my daughter's passport is going to expire in August 2015 and we are planning to visit the sister in Canada in mid of March for a week Time ,so is there any need of renew the Daughter's passport before the Trip OR the same passport(going to expire in August) will serve the purpose?can my daughter travel with this passport(which will expire August)?Pls advise me.

And where to apply in Houston Texas to renew An Indian Passport?

US Green Card holders do not need a Canadian visa.

What's your daughter's status in the US? That will determine how relevant the passport question is.

Thanks for the information.My daughter has 10 years Green card ,studying in school in Texas in 11th grade.

In that case, she only needs her Green Card to travel to and from Canada.

As a U.S. Green Card holder, you do not need a temporary resident visa to travel to Canada. At the Canadian border, you will need to present your valid passport and Green Card.

Find it best to either contact the consulate of the country you intend to visit either on the phone or on their website to learn the visa requirements. Especially before buying a non-refundable airline ticket.

I do know you will need both a current valid passport and your green card to get back into this country.

It just that our DOS deals with 200 different countries and has 200 different agreements with each one. Ha, even heard rumors they do this at taxpayers cocktail parties when half drunk. With some countries, seem to change the requirements very year or even more often.

So just like to get on the DOS site and check first before buying a non-refundable plane ticket. Ha, often make the comment, wasn't born paranoid, but sure became this way.
