Hello there,

My husband just got interviewed at the US Embassy in Manila. The consul sent him to a window that issues the visa but the lady who assisted him said that he is approved for a visa but he needs to send a Form I-864A signed by Petitioner and co-resident with original signatures for. Every document I sent him had been signed with original signatures and not sure why they need it again. My questions are:

- What do they really mean when they say Form I-864 A signed by Petitioner and co-resident with original signatures signed by? And is it possible to see a sample of this? Because honestly I am really confused.

-Also, how long does it take to process this requirement before his visa can be issued? I need to get his tickets now that's why i asked.

Please help.

I figured it is the Affidavit of Support for my Co-Sponsor but why do they need original signatures again if I sent them documents that have original signatures before hand! Does that mean I need to send My Affidavit of Support form and my co sponsor's form again( Form I-864 and I-864 A )! How long will his visa be issued after sending this document?

I'm sorry but the website they included on the email sent to me is not a known website.Perhaps something is missing or typed wrong because everytime I go into that website,it always direct me to an unknown page. Also,I tried to contact those numbers that were included in the email but I can only hear a busy line. I tried to call a hundred times and yet I got nobody to talk to! It is really frustrating going through this.

221g docs are sent visa 2GO. You can't use any other courier and you cannot send it to the embassy via email.

There is I-864 and I-864A.

Which one did he bring to the interview?

Also, I understand that it was signed by the proper person,

but did your husband bring a copy or did he bring the original document?

Did you by any chance sent him the I-864A via email,

and he simply printed it and brought to the interview?

Lastly, if all the documents were original (and not copies or prints from a scanned pdf file),

then did you husband ask them why they are asking for the same original document again?

Actually one more thing...it sounds like they are wanting something specific

and there is some misunderstanding or communication going on here.

Can your husband call the embassy and get clarification?

He brought the. Forms I-864 and I-864 A.

Everything that he brought to the interview were all original documents and no photocopies except some legal certificates.

I did not sent him I-864A via email, instead I sent it thru FEDEX mail and so he brought original copies to his interview.

They worded it as co-resident and Yes,it meant co-sponsor as well.

Yes,sponsor needs to fill out I-864 and co-sponsor needs to fill out I-864 A. So they are a separate Affidavit of. Support forms.

He did not ask them why they are asking for the same original documents again because he said that they told him he got approved for a visa but he needed to provide these documents first. Not sure about this, because they took his passport and they said that somebody from 2GO will be calling him to notify him about his visa.Hopefully he will get his visa soon after he sent these documents.

I tried a lot of times to call the number that was included in their email but to NO AVAIL,I cannot get through! i always get a busy line or an automated thing! I am just worried about how long will it take for his visa to be released and if it meant something else.I even checked the embassy website and it says that some visas are on Administrative Processing and that some visas can still be denied. Hoping that will not be the case.

There is one place on the document that indicates for you to print your name. If you typed it instead of writing your name with an ink pen, that may be what they are asking for.

Visa Journey helped me find an error on the AOS in February 2015. In March 2015 I was also able to help my spouse get the correct birth records required by NVC by reading the Nigerian thread on Visa Journey.

April 2, 2015- Case is in Supervisor Review because the DS260 form was sent electronically January 6, 2015 but hasn't been reviewed as of yet.

April 17, 2015- I finally have the 3rd N/A next to the Affidavit of Support fee. I spoke to a supervisor yesterday (Thursday). She told me she would have the case reviewed by the end of the week. It looks like she kept her word. I will call again tonight to confirm case complete :)

Okay you needed an I-864 for the petitioner, an I-864 for the JOINT sponsor and an I-864A for the Joint sponsor's household member. Were all those forms original that he brought to the interview? If they're still requesting all of that then do them again, and send them again. It doesn't matter if they were original because the embassy doesn't think they were. So don't argue with them, just send them again.
