Hi,I did my medical exam year 2013.and I admitted to used marijuana when was 13 yrs old. Told the doc I was told by older kids to try it. Only tried it that one time”. I got my K1 visa approved and went to US and got married. I had to go back here in Philippines for personal reasons and we filled for my CR1. So now I’m worried for my medical exam and wondering if theyll look at my old records. Should I admit it again or just say no this time if they ask the question about doing drugs?

Thank you,

Thank you,

I'm a little confused. Are you saying that you came to the US on a K1 visa, got married and then returned to Phil without doing your AOS? And, therefore you are going the CR1 route?

You should ALWAYS tell the truth when asked a question or you need to enter information into a document. But, you don't have to volunteer any information if not asked.

You may want to investigate the option of a IR-1 with Direct Consular Filing (DCF). The process can be anywhere from 1 month to 3 months and is a lot easier. See the link:

Thank you,

It wouldn't even make sense to admit it the 1st time but not now. If they see that you lied, you probably will be denied.

DCF is not a option unless both are living in the Philippines (I believe for 6 months or more).

Very likely you will have to spend the Php 1000 again. There is a process that SLEC has to follow.

This is a no brainer. You go and tell the truth. SIMPLE.

SLEC may ask you do the evaluation again, but common sense would tell you that your file is still available and if you have not used drugs since your evaluation I would think they would take into consideration your "old" evaluation. I don't think you will have any problems here so relax and just tell the truth if asked.
