Hi guys!

We have got a REF with request to provide more evidence of meeting in person.

He is in US air force and we met through mutual friends, I am living in London and fiancé was in Cambridgeshire, so I would take a train sometimes or he would drive down - not much evidence! We didn't have any bookings on two names unfortunately although went on holiday in UK.

My fiancé provided 5-6 photos of us, my train tickets, booking of hotels on my name - wish I knew that I needed to book it on both names!

I will really appreciate if someone has being in similar situation and can share what evidence they have provided - very worried and cant think strait, seems like!

Will they accept certified letters of confirmation from his military friends that were in England at a time as a proof?

Hmm, seems you got a picky adjudicator. Did you include any evidence that proves your fiance was in the UK on military assignment? When is the last time you have seen each other? Does it fulfill the 2 year criteria? Affidavits of support are a good idea!

Any records for his military service placing him in the UK?

Any passport stamps?

Also, no offense - your profile lists Texas Service Center - based on the speed of processing, I am guessing this is wrong (does your NOA-1 number start with WAC? If so, you are actually at California). Would you mind changing that to enhance the processing time prediction for us TSC filers?

Passport stamps, military orders? You did not provide anything that proved he was actually in the UK at the same time as you. Photos are only secondary evidence. Another thing to use is receipts. Did you use an ATM, debit or credit card for anything during your visits together? Add those in with the passport stamps/orders proving he was there.

We went through the K-1 process and received the same kind of RFE. My wife traveled by taxi to the city where we met and she didn't have any record of that. We were lucky we took many pictures and some had both of us together at some famous "tourist" spots in the city, I send in those as well as notarized affidavits from both me and her that we actually met in the city during the time period we stated on our I-129.

It was accepted and we were approved 3 days later. So see if you can find anything like that or maybe get affidavits from friends that know you have met.

Maybe.....but what would be best is his letter of assignment from the military.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Thanks baron555! That WONT be missed this time around - just want to make sure we give them as much supporting evidence as possible that we can attach to interview pile of docs down the line as well :)
