That would be your Social Security Card, not the Green Card. The GC you're supposed to get it between 3-6 months after your arrival to the US.

But no, I don't know how to track it (i'm also anxiously waiting for it).

Got a question... Just wondering how we get the tracking number of the green card that has been sent? Saw many posts where it seems ppl knows the tracking number of the card.

Any Ideas!!

to ranajayn:

Hi Friend,

I called the standard number 800***. I spoke to the first officer. I told I got the email that my card has been sent so wanted to know the tracking number.

She asked my last name and receipt number and asked me to hold and forwarded the call to L2 officer. L2 officer asked my address details and receipt number and gave the tracking number. It will be for USPS Priority mail.

Hope this helps.

I have one question for you

1 ) On Monday, I got an email --> Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On January 30, 2012, we ordered production of your new card*******

2 ) On Tuesday, I got an email --> Your Case Status: Decision

On January 31, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status ******

3 ) On Wednesday , I got an email --> Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On February 1, 2012, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file*********

I called them and got the tracking number.

The green card will be sent to your US home address. I think I read a while back two weeks or shortly after the arrival to the US. Best of luck to you and your spouse.

This is correct. I got my GC just one month after I arrived in the US and that was because I paid the fee before I left my country. GC was sent to the US address I wrote in my application.

Really??? Did you get any email before that or anything like that? I also paid the fee before I left my country and tomorrow it'll be 1 month since I'm in US :)

Getting the GC that early would be great! Tho, the officer told me it'll take 3 to 6 months to get it.

No, It was just delivered to me without any notification or email. I don't think it will take 3 months. That's really long haha. Probably it depends on the state or customs where you arrived? Not sure. Hope you'll get the GC soon.

Thank you everyone.

My experience with my embassy was very good.

I arrived at 11:30am for my 1pm appointment. I was the first one there, waited until about 12:30 when some people started join me, still standing outside.

Just before 1pm, they started calling out our names to make sure that we were all there.

There were some American citizens who came for other services, they went in first.

Thereafter I went through security, left all my electronic devices with them and went in with my bag and file. I was called to the first window where all my originals were taken, including photographs.

After that, I went the next window for finger prints and other verifications, that all took about an hour.

At 2:05 pm, I was called to the interview window, very nice America lady only asked me 3 questions :

- When is your husband's birthday?

- Where did you meet?

- When was the last time you saw him?

Then she said, ok, everything looks fine here, so I'm going to approve this application, congratulations.

I was elated, almost over. I travel on the 1st Sunday of April, since I have to serve a month at work.

Congratulations Mbalih and to everyone that got CC and Visa approval. Indeed God has been so so wonderful and faithful to us all.

Quick information from me. I just entered the U.S now and at the Seattle WA which is my POE the customs where very fast and the number of immigrant were few. Finally I got my passport stamped with the temporary green card and was told my green card will arrive my home address soon. It was a great experience and I'm so happy to finally be with my hubby.

For those still awaiting any of the visa stages just keep calm and trust God because soon every thing will be over for good. Love u all February Fliers

If I recall about a few months back I believe DR is now doing their own scheduling of IR1/CR1. But that would be why. You area bout the 4th for DR that has reported this. It's just your embassy doing this currently. Why who knows.

Just wait for your instructions from them. Keep us posted.
