The only relation to your five year anniversary is that you can't take the oath of citizenship before that day. There's no reason that you can't do everything else before your five year anniversary (although some offices have a policy of not interviewing before the anniversary, even though legally they could if they wanted to).

it does make sense too. i'm hoping to obtain the citizenship and passport before May 2015 ends

Is it common for them to receive the packet but not send an NOA within 24 hours, if the email/text form was filled in and submitted? Mine was delivered on the 4th but no NOA yet.

I have been put in line for the interview.

Just got the text ( no email) and checked my status on line.

quick question: what is the yellow letter all about? is that something that every applicant gets?

Thank you! And thanks to all who do the hard work of updating each and every one of our status changes. I know I will mess it up if I tried

Congrats on being inline! I am patiently waiting for that!

It seems like not everyone gets the yellow letter, but it seems to just state items they suggest you bring to the interview. I

I'm wondering if perhaps my NOA hasn't come through yet, because I sent a money order, instead of a personal check. I don't see anyone on the list that sent in a money order in the Feb filers, so I cant tell if there's a difference. Did anyone else send a money order?

If it worries you, you can always call USCIS and simply ask if you biometrics appointment has been scheduled yet - but remember that you are well within their time frame for biometrics appointment scheduling. Obviously USCIS is busy, so your call may take a while

Just remember to call after 30 days of them recieving your application, otherwise they will not give you any information. So if they got it the 5th, the will give you infor no sooner than the 7 th ( February was a short month so u have to add 2 days)

That's exactly what happened, i called them today and they said i have to wait till it reaches 30 days, if I don't receive it by then i should call them back. It is just stressing me out, it feels like I'm the only one who haven't got a fingerprint appointment yet.

You are not the only one. I still haven't received mine. They got my application the 11th and in a week will be a month and still nothing. :/
