Could someone who has access to the appointment scheduler please look to see if London has any interview slots left for November? I will apparently get Case Complete next week (or so I was promised by the NVC yesterday) and was hoping they would schedule a November appointment. I don't want to wait until December - I've been waiting since February already.

Or can you only see K-1 appointment slots? Does it show if they have IR-1 slots?

My fiancé checked a couple days ago and earliest was Nov 22. I think they're the same, at least, from reading the embassy reviews it seems they are.

Good luck to you!!! I know you've really been waiting, it's worse now you're in the final stretch!!

Thanks. November 22 or thereabouts fits in perfectly with my plans regarding husband's new job and moving to our new place. So if I could get one then I'll be thrilled.

It's like a marathon and the last mile is always the hardest. Not that I've ever run a marathon. But I suppose overall we have done well considering the time prediction when we started in early February was one year.

I have heard that if you get a later date if you request an earlier interview date you may be able to get one if you explain the moving and the new job. No guarantees but I don't see why they wouldn't try considering K-1's check constantly to move their interview dates earlier. Fingers crossed that you get your interview in November when you need it!!!!

Oh that's good to know! Thank you! I've heard people say that if you request to move it you get put at the bottom of the pile but maybe that doesn't apply at the London embassy.

I posted this in the August thread but I figured i'd share here too for anyone antsy about the medical!

Took about 1.5 hrs. He had to fill out forms while waiting, so i would recommend going a bit early to get that taken care of. First he had his chest xray, then urine test, then a bit of a wait for the blood test, they did a genital examination (v brief) and offered the vaccinations- he found out he could get the ones he's missing from his GP (flu and TDaP), so he's going to do that instead of pay at the clinic. he was also able to text me p much the whole time, so that was nice :) they didn't mention any delays or issues whatsoever, so I guess we'll find out in 1 month (interview Nov 17) if everything's good!

Once again Knightsbridge is giving out bad advice. Here's the thing, it is always best to get any vaccinations needed either BEFORE Knightsbridge via your GP or DURING Knightsbridge. Not AFTER. Any vaccination received by your fiancé AFTER the medical won't count in the eyes of the USCIS unless it is certified on the official form.

You do not need vaccinations complete to receive a K1 correct, but you need to have them once you AOS. When you apply for AOS, the USCIS will have a medical vaccination form showing you missing vaccinations, and they will go ''hey what gives? this person isn't complete''. They will then send you an RFE requesting either a brand new medical (because they are stupid) or a brand new vaccination supplement. You will then have to go to a US civil surgeon and pay to get your vaccinations all recertified (which is what you just dropped a serious wad of cash on Knightsbridge to do FOR YOU but they wrongly fobbed you off).

If you intend to get these vaccinations by your GP, bring your DS3025 from Knightsbridge showing what you currently have, and any proof from the GP of the new vaccinations - once it is time to file for AOS and complete the vaccination portion of the I-693 form with a US Civil Surgeon of your choice stateside.

Ugh. This is what I was afraid of and why i did tell my fiance to just pay them to do it. So basically, we'd still have to find a US civil surgeon literally no matter what?

Luckily i live in Greater Los Angeles and there is one less than a mile from where i live, but this is really good to know for anyone else about to do this.

Yep pretty much, as long as you can find a US CS that will just do the vaccination portion only. You may have to look around. In our case Knightsbridge handled the vaccinations correctly but didn't check ''complete'', which the USCIS didn't like. So we had to go to a US civil surgeon and get it recertified anyway. Just make sure you keep the proof for what you have.

Yeah i just called the one nearby, it's $90 for the consultation (groan) but he'll just get the vaccinations done before he goes so he doesn't have to pay for them too.

Stupid Knightsbridge!! What a pain! >:c

Yeah Knightsbridge is not known for its knowledge on how the vaccine requirements work with the K-1. At least they offered you the vaccines I suppose. I had to stand there and demand they take my husband back and finish the few he was missing and they tried really hard to talk me out of it.

Ours was also not marked "complete" in the end though, so likely a Civil Surgeon visit for us as well.

$90? Is that just to fill out the vaccine form? I found one in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin for $35. Not sure what your transportation situation is like but I would shop around if that's a possibility for you!
