AOS Invoice Problem

Hi Everyone,

I might be asking a noob question, but I'm kind of confused.

1. Was able to fill out the DS261 last week, but on the https://ceac.state.gov/IV/IVSummary.aspxsite, when I click on pay now for the AOS fee, I get directed to the Sign in page again...

BUT, when I tried googling NVC invoice, I found this site: https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/invoice/signon.aspx, I was able to sign in, click on the AOS and now I get to a page where they now ask for payment/bank details.

What should I do? Can I make the payment through the second site I have indicated or wait til the invoice link is available for the first site link?

2. I am looking at the AOS form, it asks for Alien number, what should you put in? leave it blank, 0's or dashes? I tried putting 0's and my bar code changes...

Have you actually received the AOS invoice yet? You should get an email with it. If you haven't gotten it yet, I would call and tell them you've submitted the DS-261 but you haven't gotten the AOS invoice yet and would like to pay it. If you tell them what's going on, they might just tell you to pay it without the invoice, if you're able to.

The second link you posted though is the payment portal, and that's where NVC's website links to pay it. The first one doesn't work for lots of people.

If you don't have an alien number yet, don't put 0s as that is technically a number. I wrote NONE in mine.

Hi! We received the actual welcome letter mail and included in the is the hard copy of the invoice. The invoice site it shows that our invoice is available, is it safe to just go to that website and pay it?

I used chrome, firefox and IE and the invoice site (where i tick of the AOS invoice and pay fee) works but the normal site (where I can see pay now link) is still not working and linking me to the sign in page.. I might just go to the invoice site since we have a hard copy of the invoice? And thank you! I will then!

Yep, you can pay it. Just head on over to the payment portal, the link that works for ya.

Were you able to pay AOS? I am having the same problem. Submitted DS-261, but AOS bill has not been invoiced yet

I'm waiting for my husband so we can coordinate on this. Did you try calling the NVC?

I just checked my page and it shows that both fees are now available to be paid.. but when I clicked on them I get directed once again to the "sign in" or enter your case number page.. and when I go to the invoice page, only the AOS is ready but the IV isn't.. anyone experiencing this?

According to your attachment, only AOS is available to pay. IV is not invoiced yet. So inorder to pay the AOS, you have to click on the box and then pay now.

This means the IV isn't actually ready to pay yet. Wait for the invoice. Normally takes 30-50 days after submitting the DS-261.

Normally takes 30-50 days after submitting the DS-261.

But if you call them and tell them you've submitted it, they have been reviewing people's over the phone lately. Better to try calling than you wait unnecessarily for 30-50 days.

If that's something that people have been able to do, then that's fantastic.

Obviously my journey is over until my ROC in March so anything new from the NVC standpoint comes from their website and from people like you.
