They said yes. They're going to let me in.

I had my interview in Vancouver this morning and all went well. There was a whole lot of standing, sitting and waiting for an interview that lasted less than 10 minutes.

Chip comes up Saturday, we pack the U-Haul on Sunday and I'm U.S.-bound on Monday. Thanks to everyone on this site who helped answering questions or started topics that I hadn't thought of. I'm sure I'll see you all again through the AOS process.

I ran into bfulton at the medical and the consulate. I hope everything was easy for him. His fiancee, whom I met at the consulate, is a very lovely lady.

Congrats!! Yep thats the way it is in Mtl too.....99% of the time ur just waiting.....and then for a 10 min interview and u ask why u had to spend so much $$ on travel, lol Congrats

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Congrats! The interview was smooth as was the medical! It was a pleasure meeting a fellow "Maritimer". When do you think we will get our visa from Loomis? We get an email saying to come pick it up at the Loomis location we put down when we did the DS-160 on line? I hope you get it to Kelowna by Friday so that you and Chip can get out of dodge fast on Monday.

Thank you for the kind comment on my fiancée! Yes - she is an absolute treasure and a great blessing to me!

See you guys in Washington - and if you keep "running" into me - we need to make sure our insurance is up to date.

Have a great trip! eh!

Haha. Yes, b'y! The gal at Window B says it should be here in three to five business days. We're supposed to get an email but she said sometimes that email doesn't come. We can get the waybill number on the site where we chose our interview date, though, and call Loomis to make sure it's there for pickup.

SO we look on this website? https://usvisa-info.com/en-ca/ Let's let each other know when we see our waybills on the site. I'm not leaving until next Friday but I sure hope yours comes in this Friday for your move on Monday!

OK, so ... I've done some searching around the site. When you log into the usvisa-info website, under Applicant Information, you will see a Reference ID. This is your waybill number.

If I'm wrong, I hope someone can correct me.

I checked the status of my visa on the CEAC site and it is now in Administrative Processing. I hope that will change to In Transit by this afternoon. :D
