AOS supporting documents for accompanying minor

Please VJ family members, help me understand if supporting documents are required for a child who is traveling with the principal immigrant. Does the petitioner have to mail two AOS packages, for child and for mom? whats the procedure? Help please

Your signature shows IR1/CR1. Assuming you are the US citizen, is the child your biological child? Or the child of your foreign spouse?

If the child is your step-child, did you file a separate i130 for him/her?

I believe that each case is treated separately... so each person would need their own AOS package and IV documents... that was my understanding of it (At least under the IR1/CR1 route....)

One I-130 = one case = one AOS

Two separate 130s = two separate cases = two AOS

OP - did you file a separate I-130 for the child?

If it is the same as when I completed mine, I did not have to pay AOS fees for the children, only one fee for the three of us BUT each had to have their own set of documents. NVC even sent me a checklist for an amount not matching on my one son compared to our tax return even though for my other son and mine they accepted it as matching... it was the EXACT SAME scanned copy!

I am the beneficiary. And my spouse is USC, my daughter his step child. Been trying to study other forums where one said he just need to attach a copy of form I-864 without the supporting docs. others say the whole pack, its confusing.

We filed separately, two form I-130. paid only one AOS fees for the two cases.

Each AOS needs its own documents as well.

The documents only need to be photocopies. Just the i-864s need to have original signatures.

Each of you need your own full package for I-864. They aren't necessarily going to be looked at by the same person so you need each package you submit to be able to stand on its own and not be missing anything. I applied with my 2 children and our AOS packages were not looked at by the same person.
