All minor children, no matter where they live or which parent claims them on their taxes, are counted in your household size for the affidavit of support.

Depends on if you declare them on your taxes as dependents or not I believe...

So even if I make 40k and have asset of of 11k in my saving and a paid off trailer home worth 21k. That still would not be enough then. So, if I find a 2nd job can I use it too cause I don't want to ask my brother for help if I don't need to.

If they are minors, makes no difference whether or not they are claimed as dependents on their taxes.

You, plus 3 kids plus your fiance(e) equals a household of 5. You make $40k. The income requirement for a household of 5 is $34,887. You make enough. http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf

Provide most recent tax transcript, letter from employer and or recent pay stubs to prove your current income.

So confusing. Some say do some say does not count.

From the I-864 instructions >

Page 8:

3. How Do I Count Household Size?

Your household size includes yourself and the following individuals, no matter where they live: any spouse, any dependent children under the age of 21, any other dependents listed on your most recent Federal income tax return, all persons being sponsored in this affidavit of support, and any immigrants previously sponsored with a Form I-864 or Form I-864 EZ

Oh sorry, did not notice you live in Alaska. Then you are $3,625 short. Your assets would need to be at least 3 times that amount. For the I-134, it is possible the consulate would accept 100%, but you cannot count on that.

If you do get a second job, then yes, you can list that job too. You would add both your incomes together to meet the requirement.

So if I get a 2nd job how long do I have to be there for it to count with my 1 job. Cause I don't want to make it to the end and they tell her I don't make enough.

It will take a few months for the I-129F petition to get approved. Then you have to wait for your approved petition to go to your consulate and then fill out the DS-160 and get an interview scheduled. You should have time to be working another job part time just to meet the requirement and provide a few months worth of recent pay stubs by the time the interview happens. Keep that second job too. You have to prove all this again when it comes time for AOS after you marry and you need to fill out the I-864 then.
