I had my interview today. Me and my husband arrived around 15 minutes early. We waited for almost an hour, but the interview was quick and easy.

Hello everyone!

I had my interview today. Me and my husband arrived around 15 minutes early. We waited for almost an hour, but the interview was quick and easy.

Congratulations to you both looks like your journey is almost over. Could you tell us more about the atmosphere at the Philly office? What was the reason for the long wait before interview? I'm heading there for my interview on Monday. Hoping everything goes smoothly.

I just passed my test today. :)

The officer asked me to say my full legal name and my ssn. then she reviewed the application and asked questions like "do you support the constitution?" , "are you willing to bear arms for the US if needed?" how many trips did you take outside of the us...why did you go on that trip... then she told me to read a sentence "In what month do we vote for president?" Then she said write "We vote for president in November.

If I remember correctly she asked the following question...

1. How many members does the House of representatives have?

2. Who is the father of our country?

3. We elect a house of representative for how many years?

4. How many justices are on the supreme court?

5. Who is the Chief Justice of the United States

6. Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

The interview was pretty quick...I was the 3rd person to be interviewed...

My oath ceremony is on Apr 15, 2015

So quick question, I got the e-notification that my interview has been scheduled on March 23, how long does it usually take to get the actual interview letter in the mail? It has been almost two weeks for me and still no letter =T I am getting antsy. And also, would the letter be dated on the day I got my e-notification or would it be the date when they sent out the mail? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If someone with Green Card wants to apply for Citizenship and her five years like a Permanent Resident is in August. Is possible to apply a few months before she complete 5 years with her Green Card?? (Her initial process wasn't trough marriage). How long can apply in advance for Citizenship before turns five years with The Permanent Resident Card??

They usually send the letter a month in advance of the interview, so if you don't have it by this time next week, you should contact them.

They should have sent the letter within a few days of scheduling the interview. I don't know why the date of the letter matters, but I would assume that it would be the day the printed the letter, which may not be the same as the day of the notification or the day it was sent. I would guess that the date of the letter would be a day or two after the scheduling notification and maybe a day before the postmark; but those are just guesses.
