Divorce and separation are not sufficient reason to release from your obligation to support your spouse. Does your spouse already have a green card?

I-864s can be withdrawn at any time and for any reason, provided the request is made in writing prior to the adjudication of the application they were in support of.

That is true, if the letter makes it to the adjudicating officer in time. Once the case is adjudicated, that is a different story.

You need to send the letter to the office that is processing the aOS. Look at the I-485 application, and it tells you where to sent it. I have no idea what the Texas address is.

OP, be glad that Darnell got involved, as he is truly an expert on things like this.

Has helped me many times, back in 2012 and 2013, wish I knew 1/10th of what he knows, we are very lucky to have him here.

I hope his life is good, as a few months ago, "we were there for him".,.,., have no idea who he is, but great guy!

Listen to his every word, and do exactly as he says!

Darnell and others,

Is the NOA-1 referred to, the same as on Form I-797C? If so, the address there is in Lee's Summit, MO. PO Box 648003. This is a different address than the USCIS guy gave me over the phone (which was in Dallas, TX) but I could send there as well if that's the NOA1 address some of you mentioned.

Thanks so much!
