Hi VJ,

My fiancé and I got our marriage license today!

I was going through all the AOS forms and was wondering if it was possible to have the medical examination done before the actual wedding?

Many thanks in advance

Sure, but just keep in mind that the I-693 will only be valid for a year. If your case is not adjudicated within that year, then you will need to get a new medical done.

The person asking the question did not get a K1 visa and has not had ANY medical exam yet. They require an exam for their AOS. They are in the US and could be adjusting from a work or student visa or even a VWP entry. Different scenario than K1s.

The OP did not explain what the journey was prior to the AOS so since a fiance was mentioned a lot of us just assumed it was a transition from K1.

But also, how do you know the OP "did not get a K1 visa"? Each of us here just speaks from personal experience.

I guessed because they posted in the forum called "Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas". I wasn't trying to criticize you. I thought you might not know about that kind of adjustment, so was offering an explanation.
