06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

some people are justifying it saying the guy was resisting arrest. I wouldn't want my arm twisted at 70 years old either. He could have easily broken that guy's bones. No need to be rough with older people. Weren't we taught better than this?

According to the TV news tonight, the victim was released after a day at the hospital, having suffered bumps and bruises. He was not charged with any crime. The cop is on desk duty, for now.

I say put the cop in a public place for 8 hours and let people taze him for a buck and then donate the money to some elder care facility.

I think he was pulled over for not having a inspection Sticker, He had Dealer Tags on his Vehicle which means he does not need a Inspection Sticker

Cop may have not known the law

To wrap this one up: A few days ago, it was announced that the officer was fired from his police force. The elderly man, who was never charged with anything, was reportedly considering civil action.
