Hi,

Does anyone know if it's a good or bad thing when your CEAC status update change doesn't change after reaching embassy? My status has a same date when it reached embassy.

I am aaking this because I have seen many applicants see a different date because CO gets assigned for your case in advance. CO starts preping for interview but if the date doesn't get updated is it a bad thing?

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

Usually lot of people see a change in the status update date because I have heard that CO (Consular Officers) are assigned to your case in advance who will be interviewing that day. So, when they touch your file or review your file, many people see a change in their status update date. That is why I was asking.

they just probably have supporting staffs to review all the cases. CO might just look at your case on the day of the interview and may follow notes .. I don't think they spend whole day studying your case :)

I just know some one going in on Monday for Interview below are CEAC timeline..

No, it's not a bad thing at all. Mine got updated when the embassy received my file from NVC and my medical results from the panel physician. And a few days before my interview as well because someone was working on my file to prepare it for the interview with the CO. It's normal, so don't worry :)
