I'm a US citizen whose colombian wife just gave birth to a baby girl who was born with a cleft lip/palate. This was unexpected, and I'm wondering if there is a way to expedite my wife's visa to get treatment for my daughter in the US asap. The I-130 for my wife was approved and we are currently gathering the paperwork for the AOS and IV package at the NVC for the CR-1. We are searching for our best option. Any advice or redirection to a similar thread would be so very helpful.

Unfortunately the above link doesn't address my question. Any other help out there? Is it possible to get out Cr-1 visa expedited due to my daughter's birth defect and subsequent need for medical attention in the US?

I don't know.. but I don't think so... It is not life threatening.. you can give a try .. hope consulate will accept it

November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

If there are doctors available to do the procedure there, it's highly unlikely your wife's case will be expedited just to have your daughter come to the USA.

You also need to do the CRBA for your daughter and get her a US passport.
