Any idea when is NVC going on holidays? What days they will be working in the coming two weeks?

To my understanding the 25,26,and 1st. We get the same days off as NVC.

Called today and apparently I'm getting a checklist for AOS-related items. No idea what it is. So frustrating.

I've been wondering this too, just incase of a second checklist. My checklist scan date is Nov. 13th (even though it was delivered to NVC on Nov. 7th :ranting: ). I think today is the 37th day of waiting and it appears that most checklists are being around 45-55 days. I might call after the 45th day.

Do we have similar scan dates? I feel like I saw your scan date somewhere. I hope we get a February interview. :clock:

I'm so anxious and depressed -- I can't believe i've put my family in this position. My stupid decision to get my MPhil/PhD means that my 5 year old can't have her daddy with her on Christmas day. I feel like a terrible mother and wife.

Congratulations!!! :dancing:

My checklist scan date is Nov 14 2014..so we are nearly in the same boat Robinsons...times drags on doesnt it ? :clock:

Looks like the federal holidays are Christmas Day (12/25) and New Year's Day (1/1).

But that doesn't mean that several people didn't request to take vacation days before and after.

I had a feeling that NVC was getting ahead of their '60 day' rule so that when they came back from holidays they'd be right on schedule. Only God knows.

Once we fill out any issues on a checklist (mine is for AOS), is it another 60 days usually before we hear something back for a CC or whatever else they need? I hope not :(

Updated the first post with the additional federal holiday of December 26, based on the information above (first time I've heard about it, haha).

For those that don't know, starting last month, I've been putting the days in the first post for which days NVC will be closed on that month.

There's also lots of other information in the first post ;) Hint, hint, wink, wink

When do we send in our AOS package and IV package together? Do we have to wait certain days after paying both AOS and IV fees ? Or can we send both packages as soon as we paid our AOS fees ?

According to the new process (which you can find information on in the first post), you send both packages together after both fees have been paid and the DS-260 has been submitted. You can view my flowchart to see a visual of the NVC process.

Of course, there's always people who send the package in sooner, like right after the AOS fee is paid, so the answer depends on who you ask.

I put a big N/A on part 7. So yes put N/A if you did not have help and did it yourself.
