How long to respond to RFE

It has been over 3 weeks now and we have not receive a response back to see if we are approved or denied, and I am seeing people get

approve after less than 1-2 weeks after submitting the rfe. What could be the back-up. This is taking so long.

I am so scared that there may be another rfe. We were just missing the intent to marry from the beneficiary.

Be patient. You'll be approved when you're approved. It's only been 3 weeks. Don't count so much on what you see from other members. Each case is different. If you're that worried, you can call USCIS, but the typical processing time is at least 4 months, so they aren't going to tell you very much right now. They're going to tell you to wait.

We had two RFE's at CSC and the second one was received at CSC on 10/24 and NOA2 was 10/27....the first one I received email notice on 9/30 and sent the response on 10/3 with CSC receiving on 10/7.....so it sounds like you may have another RFE coming. If that was all they needed you should have heard something by now....hope I am wrong though! Best of luck!

Hey!

I am actually on the same boat like you. We received RFE notice on Oct 15th then sent documents back on Oct 31st. Ever since then, we still have not heard of any news and the case status is not moving from "Request for Additional Evidence Notice Was Mailed". It's been almost 3 weeks waiting for us too. =( I hope the documents we sent is not somewhere and I am asking my fiance to call USCIS soon when he has time but he's too busy working now. Keep me updated. :/

Hey Myang1992,

My fiance just called USCIS and confirmed that they have received our RFE documents but still working on it. Our case status is not changing from "RFE mailed" to "RFE received" but at least we got to know they received our documents and not lost somewhere. We are still waiting for the good news. Try call USCIS. I hope you will get your NOA2 soon! :)
