hey there

we had the I-129f approved on the 3rd November and as of yet havent had any other feedback. i rang NVC on the 18th and they said it wasnt there.

im curious as i read the petition can actually run out. but im fearful this doesnt take into account the time THEY take to send my stuff. so far its taken almost a month of the validity

should i get her to send an extension just in case?

Apparently CSC batch sends approved petitions to NVC like once per month.

Your expiration is around March 3. If you don't have an interview date before that, then London asks for a new letter of intent from the American fiancé. It is brought to the interview. No need to ask for an extension in advance.

CSC is super fast in approving petitions, but super slow (compared to TSC) in sending them onto NVC. The NOA2 is valid for 4 months. As long as NVC gets it by then, no big deal. Right now you couldn't get an extension anyway, since the State Dept. has jurisdiction over your case now, but doesn't have it yet.

Regardless, it's been less than 3 weeks since you received your NOA2. No reason to worry yet.

I guess it depends on what "batch" ur file gets in. Our NOA2 was 10-01. NVC had it by 10-16 and the consulate got it 10-27. We were at CSC. Only 16 days. So CSC does manage sometimes.

Not to worry from what I read if the USG has not its thing in time. It is automatically extended.

The things to worry about running out is medical exams, police certificates(depending on consulate) and the visa its self.

hi,

I had the same question and i attach here the answer of my embassy!

You dont have to worry the consul can reapprove the i129f in the interview date.

For example in the attachment my i129f is valid to 29 of january.

Hope it can help you and other people with same doubt as us.

Best regards,
