Welcome to the Islamabad, Pakistan - IR1/CR1 Visa Interview Thread

Hello all,

This is the interview thread I am opening for all the interview inquiries, reviews, experiences, questions and answers for Islamabad Pakistan embassy. I didn't find any specific thread related to Islamabad embassy so thought it will be a great idea to open up a thread where we can all go and get a valuable information from each other.

Please share your interview dates on this thread, post any question, share your interview experience, medical experience, and any other inquiries related to your interview. Lets help each other out through this hectic process.

That is a very valid question but I was in a similar situation when my Interview date was changed from 27th April to 11th May due to some Embassy's domestic issues.

Although I was all set with my medical and got the reports on 15th April. Which was not early as per the previous date mentioned. So you dont have to worry. Sometimes there are complication s in your medical which could jeopardize your whole interview. So be vigilant and do your Medical early as it may take a week or more for the reports to get ready.

Regards.

Priority Date: 22 July 2013

Case Complete: 02 April 2014

I have my professional wedding album , which is very heavy , either i take it on interview or take small size album album and shows limited photographs of 4x6 size?

Avoid heavy and bulky things to bring to interview...take small size photos....and avoid taking too much...just bring some in which u r with ur spouse alone and another with family...both in barat and walima ...pix where u both r visiting somewhere.....remember to bring some file folders bcz i heard shuttle staff don't allow big bags to embassy...How abt ur medical did u received the reports...and did ur status showed "Ready"........r u staying any hotel in islamabad...?

Can someone please help with this issue...

HI,

Scenario:

I-130 filed with only (one) first name as-MAHRUKH

NOA1 mentioned beneficiary name as- MAHRUKH with No Given Name.

Birth Certificate has her name as MAH RUKH( there is a space in btw)

Now my wife is applying for her passport and the officer advised her to write both surname and given name in her passport

as surname: RUKH and Given name as MAH. If we look at her birth certificate it kind of seems like two names( MAH and RUKH) and for that reason her passport should have the same but then her I130 has only MAHRUKH with NO GIVEN NAME.

Can't think properly what to write in her passport.

Please advise.

Thanks
