Hello,

We cancelled the K1 visa after 10 months as we came to know the traditional ceremony(that happened recently) is considered as a legal marriage.

Now we are planning to apply spouse visa soon after getting the marriage certificate.

Could we get the waiver for the spouse visa as we already waited for the K1 visa for 10 months?

Thanks!

Waivers are processed with one exception after the interview.

The 10 months you spent waiting in the queue for the K1 is now just a memory. New type of petition, you have to start all over again, back at the beginning.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

You probably think of expedite, not a waiver. Answer is no, no reason to.
