Hello i filled for my wife i130 back on aprile 18th 2014 inrecived the noa1 on aprile 21st 2014 but till know ididnt recived my noa2 should i be worry its been seven month and my case isnt approved yet ( vermont office ) any body have same issue

I know the average waiting period is suppose to be five months but I've heard many say that they had to wait longer than that.

On this website, there's a link called visa processing times, which will show you an estimate of which I-130 petitions are being processed right now. It should tell you how far the Vermont Service Center has gotten with their petitions.

May 1st 2015 - Sent in IV application


May 12th 2015 - Sent in AOS and IV documents

June 18th 2015 - Checklist received


June 22nd 2015 - Checklist response sent to NVC


June 25th 2015 - Put for Supervisor Review


Sept 15th 2015 - Request help from Texas US Senator Cornyn and his team


Sept 23rd 2015 - Our case is moved from supervisor review to NVC's team for dealing with Senator requests

Dec 21st 2015 - 221(g) issued at interview for updated forms


Jan 13th 2016 - Mailed our reply to the 221(g) to the US Embassy, received and CEAC updated the next morning


Jan 20th 2016 - Embassy require more in-depth info on asset for i-864


Feb 1st 2016 - Sent more in-depth info on assets as requested. Received the next morning

April 5th 2016 - POE Newark. No questions asked.


April 14th 2016 - SSN received


May 10th 2016 - First day at my new job :dancing:

I suggest you put in a service request and get in touch with your state senator, which is what I believe to have expedited my I-130's approval after 7.5 months.

I been calling them since last week they keep saying call us back later our system is down

I just call now they told me the same thing

oh yea forgot about that system issue, did you try putting one on the website? or you get that same error message? if so nothing I guess you can do but keep trying every couple days, I called and they said call back but I waited a week and called back and they were able to put in a request for me, so I say keep trying and hope for the best

Any body did service request before dose it help ?

I think it does, if you look at my signature I put one in got an answer 3 days later saying security checks and then called back in 30days and they put another one in to see if everything was cleared up then I got my approval .
