Hi VJers,

After continuously calling the NVC for an update on our case and passing the 60 day review mark we finally got an update from a rep telling us that our case is with a supervisor and that we needed to allow an additional 42 days for them to review. This is so disheartening. :(

Has this happened to anyone else? Did they indeed have to wait that long? It was such a nightmare waiting the 60 days and to have to wait another 42 days.....is just too much to handle right now.

Hoping that we get through this and get a case complete soon.

Thanks,

I know it doesn't help much, but from reading the other threads, NVC seem to be taking around three weeks (as ever, sometimes more and sometimes less) for supervisor reviews (rather than the 42 days).

Whats the issue ? usually takes one to two weeks...

I'm hoping it's one to two weeks. So far they have not told me anything else.

Our case was transferred to a manager / supervisor last monday, and it seems we had some action yesterday, so exactly one week.

In our case it was to process the embassy transfer, so will call them today to find out if they also processed the rest of the case for Case Complete :D

Let me know how the call goes. I'm hopeful we got a transfer for the same reason. Great luck! :)

Seriously, it is NUTS. They hadn't even looked at our case because due to the Embassy Transfer request, we needed to send the proof of eligibility (i.e. copy of my passport). Because you also need this for the documentation, our lawyer didn't send it again in a separate mail. But due to that, as they had not received anything to directly answer the request, our case was on hold, and the 60d counter hadn't even started... And we didn't know anything about it :(

NUTS !

Anyway, another 30m or so and let's see if they have news :)

Transfer completed, new case number (with new embassy code) received.

However, now they have to go through the case itself (actual processing), but she could not give me a timeframe on that :(

I bet if it goes to the Embassy it will go through much quicker. Good to see there is some movement on your case which is a positive. Feels like we are so close yet so far....

HI Olives24 - So sorry for what you're going through. My husband and I are going through the same thing and trying to get our case complete at the NVC and sent to the Sydney office too for his interview. If you don't mind answering - on what grounds did you request your case to be expedited? It shows on your list that expedite was approved. We have been trying with no success and we sent in our initial application in early february.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Best of luck with the rest of your process

Bethany&Alex
