Hi, VJ family, for those how has already gone to the interview or anyone willing to answer the question, when you were asked the question when and how did you meet your spouse... how did you answer the question. do they ask one person or both? It would be nice to hear spouses who met here in the USA and ended up marrying. I am a talker just my personality, and so is my husband, i am scared i might volunteer information that is not necessary or will lead to many other questions, we are generally so poor with dates,... I have been married to my husband for over two years and together over 5 years.

Would you please share your answer to that question?

Keep your answers short. My wife and I met through the Game Second Life. When asked how we met we said through second life. That is all we said. Did not offer any other info. Keep your answers short and sweet. We were interviewed together out interview took like 15 min start to finish. We had a longer drive than the interview took./

We told - together - our how we met story. I'm sure you've been asked in casual conversation by an acquaintance "how did you meet?" You don't instantly launch into a detailed minute by minute account, you give a brief but accurate answer (we "met at church", or "at a conference", or "were on the same flight to NY" or "online on OK Cupid" etc whatever applies) and the listener will ask further questions if they want more.

We were asked on our interview about it - answered by describing exactly how we met...

Yeah, I don't see the problem if you don't have anything to hide...

To me it would just depend on the officer... Do they want it to the point or is it more small talk... Detailed explanation and short and to the point both have their place and you will know what your officer wants when the time comes... Just be natural, nothing else matters...

You will also notice if the officer asked you, your spouse or both of you... Don't even be that nervous to think about little things like that... It's okay and it will be okay! :) If you don't have anything to hide why would you worry about "volunteering information"... My wife and I for example probably talked for five minutes about how and when we met and it didn't feel like an interrogation but just like small talk as we have had before about the same topic :)
