Why fight over the same voters when you can create new ones that will feel indebted to you?

Why? Because it's the will of people who elected you to represent them.

If liberals want the new GOP-controlled Congress to live up to their words about representing the overwhelming will of the electorate on things like the minimum wage, then they should also hold the President to the same standard on things like immigration reform.

I just have little faith that either side will do any such thing.

Unsure what you mean by that,

but for me,

I abhor the concept of a sitting president changing immigration rules and laws by executive order.

I absolutely loathe any action a sitting president would do via executive order, as it circumvents the regular process.

Sure, we have bipartisan issues, and truly partisan issues as well, but amnesty for illegal aliens residing in the USA? no way, and no how.

I meant that I don't agree that he should be able to make an executive order to give amnesty to those who enter illegally and do not have emergency "humanitarian" reasons for doing so beyond, "I can make more money in the US than I can in [insert other country here]."

And the "selfishly" bit is due to my being in the middle of an immigration process as well as being located in a state that sees a lot of illegal immigration. I am dreading the impact processing those additional applications will have on an already overloaded system.

As to other executive orders, I'd need to consider them on a case-by-case basis.

It has become necessary to protect your region, your property, your family, and neighborhood. Stand up, block the busses full of illegals. Stand up and tell your congressman to send them home. Stand up and tell big government to seek out and arrest violent lawbreakers now within our borders and keep them there. Send ALL illegals home; they don't get to stay just because they are here.

We've all seen the madman in office do it not once, but time and time again. Not only that, his electorate sent him back to do it all over again. Why does he do it? He's a narcissist with a certain amount of sociological dysfunction with no conscience. His wife never liked America until her husband was nominated. Now, the American mandate wants them both, and his cabinet to pay.

I ask questions about the information presented, like I did with the topic you started a few days ago.
