Hello fellow November filers...

We mailed our paperwork on Nov 7 and even though it was supposed to be there on Nov 10, it didn't arrive until Nov 13th. However, it was processed quickly through DHS once it got there. We received a NOA2 date of Dec 4!

After waiting a couple weeks, I tried calling NVC on Dec 18th about an hour before closing. Every call attempt went straight to the message saying to try again later. The next day I started calling about 4:30 pm EST and it only took a couple of attempts before I was put in the queue. I was on hold for 53 minutes before I was connected with a representative. He tried several ways to find my case, but determined it hadn't been received (or put in the system) yet. I was instructed to call back in a couple of weeks. He said sometimes DHS is a bit slow actually shipping out the approved document.

BTW: how does one get your timeline to show up at the bottom of your posts?

Best of luck to all of you...

Merry Christmas everyone! We got our NOA2, we found it in the mail about 10 minutes before we left for the holidays. It was dated Dec 17th, not even 2 full weeks from our NOA1!

For some reason, we didn't get an e-notification about the NOA2, even though we did for the NOA1, so we were very surprised and shocked to open it in the mail.

Great Christmas present!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! It was quite strange for me spending it in America with Dan's family rather than at home! It was very different! But a fun experience nonetheless!

Dan chose Christmas Eve as the "special moment" to give me my ring at last  so I'm a happy bunny!

That's amazing Pheebs! Congrats on the ring - it definitely makes things feel official and special :)

Hope you are enjoying America and being with Dan! You're so lucky.

We are still waiting on our NOA2 but it looks like CSC is only a week away from processing applications with our NOA1 date. Dying!!!!

Simon and I know where we want to get married in San Francisco but need to hold off on booking it until we know a for sure date. Planning a wedding and going through this process at the same time is complicated :)

I have an appointment with the venue next week so hoping they are understanding of the situation...an NOA2 approval would help so much!

Yes. San Francisco is amazing! It is my home and Simon has visited me so many times over the years there. His brother lives in SF as well (how we met!). Definitely excited for it to finally be Simon's home.

It's not far from Oregon at all!

Enjoy the holiday! When are you headed back to the UK? I didn't realize visits were allowed while the application is in process - did you have to get special approval or anything?

I'm heading back towards the end of January to have my medical and (hopefully) my interview as I need to be back here March 1st for his sisters wedding!

Nope just used the VWP as usual- see the "Yes, you can visit!" thread pinned at the top of the K1 forum for more info :) when I said I was visiting my fiance they just asked to see my return ticket and sent me on my way. No problemo :)

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great holiday and that at least some of you got to spend it with your significant others! I'm starting to look over the information for the documents I need to give my fiancé after we've received our NOA2. I've gone to the bank and gotten when my account was opened, what's currently in my two accounts and it shows the average balance for the past 12 months and I plan on including a few of my past statements as well.

I also know we need another letter of intent from both of us just dated much closer to now.

Then I plan on getting my boss to write the letter stating my employment and salary, etc.

Then the I-134 form. And I would need a co-sponsor if I'm not making the $15,730+ stated in the poverty guidelines for a household of 2, correct?

Thank you in advance, just want to make sure were gathering all the proper documentation. :)

You need 125% of the poverty guidelines for a household of two which is currently $19,662 so yes you would need a co-sponsor :)
