Hoping to get our interview date early next week. All of our paperwork is with the Embassy in Sydney. The sooner the better since we'll have to book flights from Brisbane. etc. :)

04/24/2014 - I-130 Approved NOA2 (case number updated on the website 4:50pm) (17 days)

11/20/2014 - Called NVC and was informed of Case Complete!!

Medical - Scheduled for Dec 16th 2014

Interview

12/3/2014 - Email received with interview appointment for December 9th 2014

12/9/2014 - Interview went well but not approved because of birth certificate name change. Approval after fingerprint police form.

12/30/2014 - Medical and police check sent to embassy

Visa issued Jan 5th 2015 :D

5.5 months in NVC

good morning to all and Happy Thanksgiving

I have a question, and hopefully someone here has knowledge of this,

Here it is.....I read a while ago, that on the interview date, and after the interview, a fee must be paid at the american embassy, the amount was/ / is for 150 dollars, I'm sayng these because my wife's interview is on December 9th, in Colombia, and is her with two children, I won't be able to be there because my job did not allow me to leave in such short notice.....so I wanna make sure my wife has what she needs...

I will appreciate any responses

I have no idea where you got $150 from that has never been a fee. The only people paying any fees at embassy on the rare occasions of expedites and they didn't pay it through NVC. usually the embassy still will make them pay through portal. But there's nothing you will be paying at embassy

Had my medical on Wednesday all went well . They charged me 100 JD which is around 140$ . So curious to see what's in the envelop :) but the doc said everything is A ok ! Now just waiting for the 4 days to pass or can we make December 2nd come tomorrow haha ... Good luck everyone so happy to see those CCs

How come your File is at the Embassy but you don't have an interview date yet. They normally send the file after they have scheduled the date.

It's because we requested an expedite which shipped everything to the Embassy to handle our case from there. I'm hoping we get an interview date some time in December if possible. Hoping for the best.

How come your File is at the Embassy but you don't have an interview date yet. They normally send the file after they have scheduled the date.

My interview was on 26-Nov-2014 and visa was approved by the CO. She told me that i will get my passport within 2 weeks. But Ceac website still shows Administrative Process till today. is it normal. i am so much tense.

Yes subhani it takes a couple days. They were closed on 27th so It should change to issued today I think inshAllah :)

I am waiting to hear back from Consulate. They emailed me to let me know they have rescheduled my interview at my request but put down my current date and time as the new one.

I reckon some of them are on holiday still after Thanksgiving yesterday. Hopefully hear back on Monday.

Oh that is awesome.

I figure because of Thanksgiving we would not hear this week. Fingers crossed next week we hear something. I'll also schedule my husband's medical next week.
