Possibly I paid the medical and visa fee on the same day, that's why it seemed to me like a few thousands lei ;)

We got the instructions yesterday....the strange thing is that they sent them through email as you said, but not to me, to my fiance :D. By the way we don't have any mentions about packet or 4. We just have to collect All the documents and bring them to the consulate on specific days and time, and after it they will schedule an interview. So it differs a lot.

Today I scheduled my med exam. And the documents they ask to bring differ a bit form what consulate sent to us:

- they request 5 photos not 2

- in instructions it is said to bring a medical certificate about health state from family doctor - when i called they said nothing about it, but asked to bring my medical card

- thay asked to bring a confirmation that i did vaacination against seasonal flu ( it is not requested in instructions)

- passport

- vacciantion record

Was it the samein ur case?

Well, it looks like the procedure must have changed since last year, although the e-mail was addressed to my fiancé as well, while they sent a copy to my e-mail. Possibly, because he is the petitioner and he should inform you of the further actions (which seems strange of course). If they don't want anything in advance, no filled out forms, then it makes it a lot easier, just pass the med exam, pay visa, bring all the docs and you are ready to go. As for the flu vaccination, it was not required last year, possibly because it was not a flu season when I had my interview (I think it starts from October until March, or April). Although, when I was applying for AOS (green card), they required flu vaccination, so I had to do it here. As for medical card, you could bring it, but mine was big and huge and it would take them forever to find and write down the health conditions, so my doctor just issued me a form with concise health issues history. They didn't mind. And I saw the visa fee increased as well this year.

Wanna share my experience: yesterday I took my med exam, it was pretty easy and not as stressfull as I was expecting. In Moldova the test is performed by IOM (International Organisation for Migration). I made an appointment for 10 o'clock. I entered the first cabinet, they checked my passport and photos and introduced me in their data base. I signed a paper that states all the rules and info about med process and that I agree to take tests. They gave me this paper, a copy of my passport, my immunization record in an envelope and told me to wait in queue for the 2nd cabinet. There a physician controled my eyes, blood pressure, lungs etc - nothing extraordinary, asked me couple questions about operations I took, children, pregnancy - like at a usual visit to family doctor.

After the control we had to go to a specialised medical centre, in our case German Diagnostic Centre, to take a blood test and chest xray.

That's it...pretty simple. I spent more time in queues LOL.

Today I got my results in a sealed envelope :)

I hope it was usefull. Good luck to everyone!

The only thing you can do is just wait.... In our case it was faster, although we had to call many many many many times before we got through and got our case number

Don't hurry up with calling....my advice

Our papers got to Europe, Moldova in 3 days. Give them at least a week or 1.5 weeks before calling

The interesting thing about interview here: we don't have packet 3 or 4: When your fiancée has all the documents listed above he/she is welcome to bring them to the Consular Section on any Monday or Wednesday between 15.00 and 15.30. He/She will be then scheduled for a visa interview with the Consular Officer.

I collected all the docs, today I plan to make my first visit to the embassy.... :dancing: ....a bit afraid...mainly because I don't understand this part: He/She will be then scheduled for a visa interview with the Consular Officer. Does it mean that in the same day I come I will be scheduled for an interview or another day. If another what's the point of coming with all the papers, affidavit o support, proof of relationship etc... Confused.

Will post today (in the evenng) how did it go.

I've got my case number through phone to NVC on Nov/12. And it showed AT NVC until now. Normally, how long it will be transferred to other status... any advice?

We called on the same day when they sent it to the consulate, so don't really know. Maybe it is already sent here but case not updated? :)

Good luck everyone!

Today I went to the embassy, everything went well, staff was really nice. They selected papers they needed, originals and copies. Apparently I had too many docs prepared. the rest of them I will bring to my interview. I was there for about 10 min (security check, docs etc) - it was really fast.

They set me an interview date - 2nd of December. Wish me good luck!

Good luck at the interview. The procedure has changed a bit since last year, I see, they need all the documents beforehand. And you have to wait more than two weeks (that's annoying), although as I see here people wait months for their interview to be scheduled at other Embassies, so that's not that really bad. I know I just brought all the documents at the interview and they examined them in front of me, and handed me back all the evidence that was not pertinent to the case (like engagement ring receipt from the jewelry store, and some of correspondence, which they said was too much).

Good luck at the interview again and it seems like it's going to be a winter wedding :)

They said that this period is pretty busy and that they can not schedule it earlier, lady even said sorry but we can not do it earlier. She was really nice.

By the way - affidavit of support: they did not took pay stabs, letter from the bank and bank statements from all of the account, I had 2 papers regarding taxes, they took only one, don't remember hich one.

As I understood on my own experience, we prepare way too much docs :)

We start looking for tickets....hope to find a good deal, because of holidays tickets are so expensive, our 1st results are 1700$.... Once I get my visa approved we will buy a ticket

I am so excited, want all this process to end faster...tired of it ))))

Thnx God everything is going well so far.
