We have a 100% success rate except for the patient who was got no treatment except for the 10 days he spent in the hospital with a team of doctors talking to the CDC constantly to discuss and try options.

You just can't make this stuff up. VJ gold

Yeah he acts like the guy got off the plane and fell over dead on his way down the jet bridge.

While were at it, we should stop denying family based visas to people with TB and other infectious diseases. Using the same logic, I'm sure the treatment is better in the U.S. and they actually have a legit reason for a visa. Bring em all on over. What's the worst that could happen?

lol. Repeating a lie that people are acting hysterically doesn't make it true.

This is a Washington Times article about the subject, and they have their hands on the memo written by Robert Sorensen of the State Department:

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/oct/28/state-department-plans-to-bring-foreign-ebola-pati/

To call it speculation when a major news organization is quoting from official government documents demonstrates who is acting irrationally.

It explains that other countries don't want to send people to infected countries unless they can be sent to the USA by medevac at a total cost of half a million dollars each. Transportation plus treatment.

It's also now been proven that the doctor who was infected in NYC lied to health officials about his travels through the city. He claimed he self-quarantined. I can't think of a more ghastly lie, and demonstrates that even a so-called hero can't be trusted to tell the truth and act honestly.

http://nypost.com/2014/10/29/ebola-doctor-lied-about-his-nyc-travels-police/

That's proof of how dangerous it is to think sending thousands of troops and more personnel is without significant risk of bringing it back home. Prostitution is the most likely vector, and the odds of lying about that are approximately 100%.

Meanwhile, as the President poo-poos quarantines, the troops that are going will be quarantined. In Italy:

The Washington Times is actually a paper of the Unification Church. The paper's mission is - and I quote the founder - "to fulfill the Will of God, who seeks to establish America in His Providence."

Now you might call that a major news organization. I, on the other hand, would not.

Is that the same church as that Korean guy? Sung Yung Moon or something like that?

I actually posted this same story almost two weeks ago, and with Judicial Watch as a source.

Obama Plans to Let Ebola-infected Foreigners Into U.S. for Treatment

OCTOBER 17, 2014

Washington, DC – Judicial Watch has learned that the Obama administration is actively formulating plans to admit Ebola-infected non-U.S. citizens into the United States for treatment. Specifically, the goal of the administration is to bring Ebola patients into the United States for treatment within the first days of diagnosis.

It is unclear who would bear the high costs of transporting and treating non-citizen Ebola patients. The plans include special waivers of laws and regulations that ban the admission of non-citizens with a communicable disease as dangerous as Ebola.

One source tells us that the Obama administration is keeping this plan secret from Congress. The source is concerned that the proposal is illegal; endangers the public health and welfare; and should require the approval of Congress.

Judicial Watch? That's part of the same echo chamber. You'd probably find it on redstate, freerepublic and hotair, too.

So you are saying it's not true

B. It was not on MSNBC or the Bill Maher show , so it never happned

Where did I say that? Incomplete and misleading would be the words you're looking for.

Ok so your just making fun of the source for kicks , and in no way meant to imply it's not true. Right ?

It's what you liberal nutters do. If you don't like a truth you just attack the source

Actually, no. Looking at the source one knows that the information presented should be taken with a giant grain of salt. That is because said source has a history of misrepresenting and misinforming and misleading. As we have learned during the discussion here, the pertinent part that was omitted from the reports is that the target population are doctors and medical personnel that volunteers in the effort to contain the Ebola outbreak.

The fact is that too few volunteers with the required skill set are available to carry out the mission. That is owed not the least to the fact that this mission bears great risk for the volunteers. Making that risk smaller by providing treatment for those that get infected while working to stop the outbreak would increase the number of available volunteers and thus increase the odds to contain and ultimately stop the outbreak. That is what we're all interested in because if it isn't contained and stopped, it will make its way here. That's not a question of "if" but only a question of "when".

Seeing it in this context, there is not only nothing wrong with offering treatment to infected medical personnel, it is what must happen. There's no way around it. Not just here but everywhere where adequate treatment can be provided. The Europeans must and will do the same.

Oh so it's a typical news media outlet.
