ok so im rolling up on 7 months of no NOA2 and I was just wondering how do you contact your senator or congressmen? what are the steps? is there a letter? and what should be written in it if so? is there a site?

I put in a service request and they said security checks then I called and they said call back in 30 days which will be on the 9th... im gonna hold on and call back on the 9th as they said and maybe put in another service request before I do anything else...

but just wanted to know what steps to take incase I have to do more...

When we contacted our state senator for help with my husband's B-2 visa we contacted his office's immigration "unit" and heard back from them fairly quickly. He called my mom (since I was living outside the US, I gave my mom permission to settle things for me since she was easier to contact) and sent me a letter to sign basically giving him permission to look into my case and communicate with USCIS on my behalf.

Google whichever senator or representative you wish to contact from your state. Go to their website and you should find contact info for different offices on there.

For instance, here is Ron Johnson of Wisconsin...this link would take you to the email form which you can properly fill out to be forwarded their immigration office.

what would be something you write to them in the email? like a general statement saying" I believe my case should be looked at and its outside processing times"?

Yeah, that's something they specialize in, is an official representative of that congessman inquiring on your behalf and basically writing USCIS "so this constituent of mine has been waiting too long for an NOA2. What's the hold up, guys?" Just tell them the date you received your NOA1.

Also make sure you contact the congressman, it depends on the petitioner's US address. I contacted the wrong one because I assumed too quick and lost about ten days waiting for nothing. I found out later there are tools on the web that let you enter the address and determine who is your representative. The good news however is that their office forwarded my request to the correct congressman at the same time I realized my mistake.
