Hi all....so happy to see all these approvals! Mine was just approved on 3/30 and sent to NVC on 4/8.

I have 2 questions:

1. My husband is currently in Japan - Will NVC send all documents to me (my U.S. address or my email) or his address in Japan? For the record I did put down my email on G-1145 form.

2. My income in 2014 and current income meet the Poverty guideline but not in 2013 and 2012 (was a student back then). Will this be an issue during the AOS process?

Thank you all!!

Welcome to the group! :star:

The only physical mail we received was the NVC welcome letter that was sent to the beneficiary. All other correspondence was by email. The first thing received was the welcome letter by email to the petitioner (which preceded the physical letter by about a month). The AOS invoice came by email to the petitioner the same day as the welcome email. Later on in the process, both the petitioner and beneficiary received each email.

Every once in a while, that first welcome email doesn't get sent. Check the timelines of other filers with an approval date near yours. If you feel you're waiting extra long, be sure to call NVC to get your case number and invoice id number. Once the case is fully set up on their system, you will be able to add your email (if for some reason they don't have it).

I'm afraid that I can't offer any advice relating to your AOS question. Hopefully, someone else can help you out on that one. :help:

Best of luck for a smooth journey through NVC. :goofy:

Thank you so much for your reply DKNC!! I have been reading your threads and they are all super helpful :dancing:

Regarding the AOS income requirement, I read from the other threads that only the current income matters - but those are from the K-1 threads, not sure if that applies to CR-1...

Ayumi whst u mean by current income. Current income is Q5 and 10 part 6 I-864?

Un question 5 and 10 part 6 My husband put 48,700.00 which is his annual income and his employement letter says this amount. Well the thing is un cuestión 13a se wrote 14,709.00 cuz with deductions it is his adjusted gross income, Line 22 1040. He receive 1099 from his job not w2 and it also says 48,700.00.

Well our household size is 5 so we need 35,512.00 the thing is Q13a total income or adjusted gross income is too low even when his annual income is high due to deductions, do you think we will need a co sponsor? Please HELP......

Hi j&ana!

Just want to know if its ok to just scan the NVC welcome letter and send it to my husband? I don't want to wait for the IV cover sheet, it's been so long.

as DKNC pointed out yes you can use a scan copy of the welcome letter or you can use the AOS document sheet either one is ok as they both have the barcode. you do not have to wait for the IV cover sheet

Congrats Rachel23!!

kkg325 - I think I will give it sometime and call around the last week of April, just because I don't want to go through all the holding and stuff... But that's just my choice. I have been way too stressed just waiting for the NOA2 so I want to relax a little bit now. But if you do choose to call, I think at least give it 1-2 weeks after 4/10? That's just my take on it, though. My reasoning is if rachel23 got it so soon, then ours probably won't be so far. :dancing:

Also know that each case differs so no need to freak out...at least that's what I am telling myself. We've already come this far!!

Hey Rachel23, I am curious - did you get correspondence from NVC via email?

No yet but I called NVC today to give them my emails and they told me they already sent today some letters to my husband in the US. They told me to call next week to give them my emails.

Update - I know I said in my previous post that I am not going to call...but I decided to do it on a whim. Called at 4:45 PM PST and did not need to wait AT ALL. Case received on 4/14 but not in system yet. :luv:

ayumi1486 - I understand the impatience! I called today, but the recording told me to call back later because of the high volume of calls.

I'm excited for you! Your NOA2 is only one day before mine, so maybe my case was received as well! My plan is to call again on Friday. I'll try calling around the same time of day that you called.
