A month since bio-metrics and still no up date. Nebraska.

So after having help from a visa journey member to fill in our forms after a turbulent time with our lawyers, we still have no up date. I realise if we hadn't had the helped from this wonderful member we wouldn't have even got to the bio-metrics stage as we were completely lost and for that I will be eternally grateful and you know who you are! Any way now I am wondering how long it takes to change status, at Nebraska, their site says up to 3 months and its nearly 2 months since sending the forms and 1 month since the appointment. I know that the green card can take ages, I also feel patient in waiting for the EAD card, but what I am becoming increasingly impatient about is the AP. I SO want to visit my family before Christmas, although my son will be visiting in 9 days time and I can't wait!

I have looked at fellow visa journey members timelines, the ones mainly that I went through the K1 visa process with and it seems they have some kind of movement after the bio-metrics appointment but I guess I'm asking if any one is still waiting for a decision after their bio-metric appointment who's case has gone to Nebraska, any delays I should know about?

Thanks in advance fellow vj members for any advice or information ascertaining to it.

Hello I am adjusting from k1 as well. just got my EAD combo card last September 9. same thing no update about AOS.

OP has not received anything yet and is concerned more about AP than AOS.

Shell20: I am not adjusting from a K-1, but are also in the AOS process with a similar timeline to yours. It has also been almost 2 months since filing, and yesterday was one month since biometrics. I am also at the NSC. People in the August filer thread that I'm part of are receiving updates and EAD's left and right. I feel like my case is stuck, but there are a few others on that thread as well that are still waiting as well. Just sucks to see other's who filed after you get updates. Good luck to you!

Hey friends, to respond to our friends Shell20, I have to say that I applied my case on June 2014. My case is K1 and in the Nebraska. I got my EAD combo card about 2 and half months later, but strange my AOS hasn't changed in all these months until I got a letter from USCIS on 2 Oct. that we wived your interview and you have to wait for 6 months. So, still 'm waiting and I don't think there is any other choice.

Your timeline prediction is based on everybody with a VJ timeline...not just a few people you might check. It averages people based on how it went for all others just before you applying for the same thing. It is predicting yours should be approved in the next week or so. It won't even be considered late until mid November. Sounds like you are worrying just a little too soon.

Your timeline > Based on timeline data, your AP may be adjudicated between October 14, 2014 and October 20, 2014*.

Thanks everyone for your input. I read I can ring up after 75 days. I know I am being a tad impatient but I do miss seeing my family, its been 5 months since I have seen any of them and when you'e not working, have no car, your husband is working 12 hours a day, its a long time! I hope that they make a decision shortly. Thanks once again. x

My husband is also adjusting from a K-1. His bio was September 8th. We are at Nebraska as well and still no movement. Must be just a slow service center.

For what it's worth, we filed AOS on March 2014. My wife got her bio-metrics done in May 2014. We received her EAD/AP in late July 2014. We then received a letter from the USICS in August that she qualified for a Potential Interview Waiver and should receive a GC by January.

Still no word on this end either, so must be slow or Nebraska is overloaded right now.

Well still no movement. Am I right in thinking if you get a waiver then the GC is not produced for another 6 months?

My case is also being handled by the Nebraska Service Center, although we live in Texas. We filed on June 6th and received the EAD/AP combo card on August 22nd. Our I-485 and I-130 have not been updated since June 13th. We have received no word from USCIS since the combo card. Our lawyer told us we needed to wait until the end of this month before we could make an inquiry. That will be right around 75 days of inactivity. We were really hoping to have this resolved by the end of the year, but the chances of that (at least for us) are looking rather bleak. Good luck!

Wishing all of your luck on your immigration journeys.

we're 71 days past NOA1 and 34 days past biometrics. :( Our timelines are also similar, and it's very frustrating to have an early August NOA date and see people in Sept getting their EAD/AP card. This process is a stellar example of "patience is a virtue" and "life's not fair." I have wondered if it's about where you live and if it's backed up locally, but no one had incite on my post, apart from one person, so it's still an unknown to me. I sure feel your pain though!! Hang in there.

08/02/2014 - AOS, EAD, AP applications mailed.

11/17/2014 - K2 gets an interview waiver letter in the mail (dated November 12th) (K1 has never gotten this letter)

08/24/2015 - Green cards are FINALLY in hand after nearly 13 months of waiting.
