congrats. Can you please tell us some details.what question were asked and what was the process for interview as you enter the embassy. Thanks

Hello Black Chill do you have case complete yet? If so can you please fill out the form so I can add you to the case complete to Interview spreadsheet. Thanks. Also can you put up your countries flag on your profile so everyone knows where you will be interviewing. It helps when you ask questions because some things are embassy specific.

Congratulations! I think it just changes to that until they issue it. I don't think it's anything to worry about. InshAllah you'll have it within the week.

Can you please share the experience and what questions were asked?

Romii, do you have case complete yet? If so can you please fill out the form so I can add you to the case complete to Interview spreadsheet. Thanks.

Hey hi all

Can somebody tell me when does the NVC start scheduling interviews? I have seen someone on the spreadsheet whose interview was scheduled today....

Has NVC started scheduling interviews??

Possible this week they may start or next week.

As you can see its for November they got. Which means their embassy still had slots open. That happens with less busy embassies all the time.

The scheduling will be for December slots.

Hello everyone. Just got back from my interview from the embassy.

APPROVED!!!! YAYYYY!!! It was unbelievable; it still does not feel real.

I was asked the following questions:

Have you been married before?

Do you have any children?

Have you lived anywhere outside Ghana?

When and where did you meet your husband?

How many times did you see him before you guys got married?

How many times have you seen him since you got married?

She then shows me a pic of my husband and my siblings and asks who they were.

Do you plan on working as a physician in the USA?

She then says; all is set. Thank you very much for bringing so much evidence. This is the best case I have seen since I've been in Ghana.

Then she hands over my documents to me: then says I should pick up my passport on Wednesday afternoon at 15:30.

I said thanks....and she handed me the blue slip...

Yayyy....I'm so excited.

Thanks so much everyone on VJ. The information here is so amazing.

Dwheels and Darnell good job!

I'll post a more detailed review on my country portal (GHANA).

All the best everyone.

This is always the good news I love to read. Congratulations my dear. Welcome to America. Mercies journeys to you. (F)

And thank you for the compliment. It's my pleasure to serve you all. :goofy:

Wow yet another payment...If you paid your visa fee before September 12, 2014, and your visa interview is on or before December 11, 2014, you do not have to pay the difference between the new and old fee amounts.

If you paid your visa fee before September 12, 2014, and your visa interview is on or after December 12, 2014, you will be required to pay the difference between the old and new fee amounts no exceptions. Ustraveldocs.com

Don't worry about it all you paid before September 12th correct. And all visa fees anyway are good for 1 year for IR1/CR1 this does not apply to you all.

All you have left is the $165 fee paid on ELIS.

So our AOS changed to "n/a" on Saturday Oct 25 and I called this AM to confirm and we have a CC as of October 25! Very exciting... So now just another waiting game for the interview. But I've started reading this thread now and it looks like it's much better to have the CC at the end of the month to make it for the next round of interview scheduling. Thanks for the info and the spreadsheet. I just wish there were more Chileans to be able to learn from!!!

I also never received a CC email. So after 1 week, my husband called NVC and found out that they had just assigned our interview date. Then it took 2-3 business days until we received the interview letter via email. So fingers crossed that you might already have an interview date! ;)

I assume you are referring to the ELIS (green card production) fee? You don't pay that until after the visa approval.

Only Montreal for interview for spouse/family of a US citizen. Book and do your medical ASAP after you receive your interview/P4 letter. And be warned some doctors take way longer to get the results back! I made the mistake of going to the one in Vaughan ON because it was a somewhat easier drive for me to get to (still over 2 hours). I should have gone to the one in Toronto because I think that's where Austincanada went and he got his results the next day. The place I went took 2 FULL WEEKS! And then I got them the next business day - 15 total days later! And I had to follow up with them to get them to follow up with the people to get the blood results back, so that they could actually finish my packet and send it! The last thing I needed was more stress.

Where are you? Many people have to fly for both their medical and of course the interview. Good luck!!

I'm from Alberta.. Hmmmmm hope I can do both medical and interview in 1 trip. Otherwise it would cost me more paying for the flights, etc... Thanks for the infos!

Ah yes, that makes sense about the ELIS fee, no fee until a visa is issued!.:rofl:
