Visa issued same day? No ball.gif If not whats the waiting period? if ur approved anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks .

Dwheels .. I have a question

I went to the interview in Cairo 19th Oct. The Interview Officer told me that there is nothing wrong with my case and it is all right .. he kept my passport .. but extra Administrative processing needs to be done .. no extra documents needed from me .. I need not to send anything or contact anyone. He said don't get bothered or sad .. this is normal .. and it is much faster now .. around one month .. It will take place in Washington D.C.

I went back home .. checked the embassy website for case update .. it doesn't work ..

I checked CEAC .. it said case updated 19th Oct .. ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING

yesterday case was updated 22nd OCt. .. also .. ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING

Q1) what does it mean when CEAC updates the date? good? bad? or neutral?

Q2) I am sure you have seen many cases like mine, any idea how long it usually takes?

Hey guys, I hope you can give some advice on what to do. So, my husband was still an active army member when our AOS was approved last August, but he ended his contract last September. We will have our interview this November and would like to know if we need to bring a new AOS to update his job title from Active member to Army reservist? Thank you!

i'm confused.. after getting the medical results (the envelop and the CD and vaccenation record paper) we have to mail them to the embassy???

the secretary told me you should have the envelop with you when u go to the interview!

are you applying for different type of visa? mine is CR1 btw.

No, but in the uk, the medical centre couriers the medical results directly. I guess our embassy doesn't trust us because Canadians and possibly Australians get to take theirs with them :P Oh well, less for me to carry. What country are you applying from?

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

You mean your doctor let you know that your medical exam results were fine? :wow:

Nobody mentioned anything about my medical results when I picked them up.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you don't have to go back to the doctor's office for another medical exam.

That would totally suck if you had to undress in front of your doctor again. :bonk:

Not exactly. They said they'd call back if my blood test came back positive or if my x-ray looked TB-ish and if I didn't hear anything by Wednesday, I have a clean bill of health.

They never let us view our medical results. They ship them direct to the embassy, but as I understand it, we only get the x-ray CD back. Obviously we get the medical back too but it's in that bloody sealed packet :P

It's really unfair what happens to middle easterns after their interview, but don't give up hope yet. Some get approved right away :)

Other than the usual things I need to take to my medical, (pictures, passport and medical records from GP ) Is there anything I should bring along just incase?

Also, I have one more question. I have a lifelong issue with my ear, I'm partially deaf and as a child I had tumours. It's still an ongoing thing with a visit to the hospital monthly for a checkup and cleaning. Recently, I was told the tumour could be grown back again, they are benign, so to worry. They do need to be removed when found. Should I mention this to the doctor, do you think it will affect my medical results in any way ? Thanks :)

You should be allowed to have a female chaperone, sure it says so in the cdc guidelines somewhere.

I had a female physician assisting the male physician. The male physician took my medical history, checked for sensitivity in sinus, felt my nape to check for lumps, then checked my extremities for rashes, etc. The final check he did was check my abdomen for any laparoscopic ports. He said he was done and the lady doctor would do external gen**** examination. The lady doctor did the "private" examination.

Pakistani embassy doesn't do that right? Everything is done in-house on the day of the interview?
