this morning i got this email from the USCIS .

Case Status

Receipt Number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On January 24, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

i want know how long it take to get the Green Card?is it possible to wait more than 30 dyas?and can i get the Green card before the EAD?

I am not sure how long it will take to get the Green Card, but ,yes, it is possible to get your green card before the EAD is approved. Congratulations!!!!

I got the same email last week and today i got this:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: This case has been sent to another office for processing.

On December 6, 2006, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing..........

I keep reading these posts of "I finally got my greencard", etc. Congratulations, but I am completely confused. There seems to be two trains of thought in this forum.

1. I had a PERFECT AOS submission therefore I got transferred to CSC. (cannot disagree more)

2. I FINALLY got my greencard (as stated in this thread), after just filing a couple of months ago.

Is this truely the expectation for AOS????

I sent our package in on 11/30/06 and got the email 01/26/07 stating that our AOS was approved and the card had been ordered. It seems that when your case is transferred to CSC you get approved fairly quickly and you don't get interviewed.

I guess what I was meaning to convey is the mentality that if your package is perfect you will be transferred (as in if its not you will get an interview or worse) and the use of FINALLY. Is two months really deserving of FINALLY? Is two months REALLY a long wait? :lol: My wait among many many others will blow your mind then!

I had a very well put together submission, and I got a name hit, therefore I am in FBI namecheck. ANYONE with a "perfect application" could have this too!
